Gilliadson saw the arrow flying toward them when his wife spun them around and felt the point of it tap his breastplate after it had passed through his wife’s body.

“Leofa.” Sineliniel whispered and went limp in his arms.

He quickly but gently lowered her to the floor. Fluffy had reached the Teir`Dal and had engaged her but he would not be able to stay in this plane once his mistress had expired. Gilliadson was spiritually exhausted and he had used all of his abilities but one. Gilliadson broke the arrow and pulled it out of his wife. Her breathing was becoming shallower as her life was fading. Gilliadson did not undertake this venture to lose his beloved now. The knight placed his hands on his wife and started the only prayer that he knew would save her at this point. He had vowed long ago to protect her with his own life it need be. Gilliadson stopped before the final word and kissed his Beloved for the last time. As he completed the prayer, his life force entered the Koada`Dal, healing her wound and giving her strength. He managed to whisper one word before the transfer was complete.

"Leofa." The Knight fell over dead beside his wife.

“NO!” cried Sineliniel and she quickly rose to her feet. The Elementalist looked down at her dead husband and then at the Teir`Dal that was weakened greatly from the attacks of the Elemental. Hated welled up within this Koada`Dal for the first time in her life. Sineliniel began to draw not only on her own reserves of mana but also on the mana in the environment around her. She would burn this Shadow Knight down with everything that she had. The fireball slowly formed between her hands. Fluffy, sensing his mistresses intent, grabbed the Teir`Dal and held her in a grip that nothing short of the gods could break. However, something was not right with his mistress. He could feel that the power she was bringing to bear was much more than what would be needed to end the existence of this Teir`Dal and he felt something different within her. It was as if her very being was being altered by these new feelings that were emanating from her. All the Elemental could do now was watch and wait.

The Teir`Dal watched her arrow fly into the back of the Koada`Dal and cursed. Before she could get another arrow ready her bow was knocked from her hands as the Elemental hit her hard. D`Nar knew that once the Koada`Dal expired though, the Elemental would return to it’s plane. She could then kill the Knight. The Shadow Knight fought with the Elemental and watched as the Knight laid his hands on the Koada`Dal and expired. D`Nar knew then that she was in trouble. This Elemental was much too powerful for her to keep fighting and the Koada`Dal had been healed and was on her feet. D`Nar saw the ball of fire forming in the Koada`Dal’s hands and knew that her end was near. At least she caused the death of Sir Shadowbane and her honor had been satisfied. D`Nar could feel the hatred emanating from the Koada`Dal and was glad that she had also been the instrument to bring one such as her closer to Innoruuk even at the cost of her own life.

Kalsari scrambled to her feet as the ShadowKnight revealed herself. She watched in fascinated horror as the events unfolded before her eyes. The Paladin's healing of her had in effect cost him his life. For a fleeting second she almost felt guilt. But then she looked at the Mage, a fireball burning in her hand, hatred and rage welling up in her.
Kalsari bit her lip. She could do nothing for the Paladin, but she could save his wife from herself, even if the act of doing so would go against everything she had been taught.

She took a throwing dagger from her belt just in case. Then she shouted, twisting her tongue around a language she understood perfectly but never spoke. In the Elvish tongue, she shouted.

"Stop!"

“Salutations Sir Shadowbane.” A female voice whispered into his mind. “

“I did not think that you had that resolve in you.” Said a male voice in the knight’s head. “You are truly worthy to enter into the Halls of Honor when your time comes.”

“My time is not yet?” Asked Gilliadson.

“No yet Sir Shadowbane. You may return to Norrath but the return comes with a price. A price I am sure you would not consider too high.” Answered the female.

“And what price would that be M’Lady?”

“Your first-born child is to serve my Mistress. That was the reason We brought the two of you together. My Mistress desired one of the legendary House of Shadowbane to champion her cause on Norrath as you and your forefathers have championed her brother’s cause.” A female form stepped into Gilliadson’s view. She was clothed in white and was the most beautiful female Gilliadson had ever seen. Her platinum hair fell about her shoulders and down to her waist. Her eyes burned like radiant topazes. “You know whom I represent.”

“I do M’Lady.” Gilliadson knelt in reverence before the Avatar of Love.

“She needed a child with the noble blood of your lineage and that of a creature of perfect balance. Sineliniel was found to be such a creature. I
We did not make you fall in love with her but merely opened your eyes to the love you bore her but had buried within yourself. Now your wife’s balance is in danger. Events are about to unfold that will ruin her forever if you do not stop them.”

“Send me back to my Beloved.”

"You must stop what is about to transpire.”

Gilliadson opened his eyes and saw the fireball forming between his wife’s hands. He felt the hatred welling up inside her and knew that if she struck out with that power that she would never be the same. The Human Knight reached up, grabbed the belt of her robe and pulled her down to him, breaking her concentration. The ball of fire dissipated.

“Do not do that, my Love. Not in hatred.” Gilliadson saw that the Shadow Knight had been bound by the Elemental and was helpless. “Have Fluffy bring her to us.”

Kalsari's order to stop fell upon deaf ears. The Elementalist poured all she had within her into this one orb of flame that would leave noting of the Shadow Knight but a pile of ash. Sinelineil readied to toss the orb with her full concentration upon the destructive power within.

The Koada`Dal felt something grab her belt and pull her down. She lost her concentration and the fireball dissipated. She looked down into the steel gray eyes of her beloved husband and felt the hatred melt away. She heard his words and was so overjoyed that he was back. Sineliniel commanded Fluffy to bring the Teir`Dal to them. Sineliniel helped her husband to his feet and threw her arms around his neck and kissed him.

The Teir`Dal, now helpless and bound in a grip that she could not break free of, watched as the fireball the Koada`Dal summoned grew white hot. She could feel the hatred that the elementalist was pouring into it along with her own power. She knew that once that fireball hit her that the Koada`Dal would be Innoruuk’s forever and that she herself would be basking in the hatred of her God soon. Then to her horror she saw Shadowbane move. She watched as he grabbed the Elementalists belt and pull her down. The fireball disappeared. When the two of them embraced, D`Nar thought she was going to puke.

Alsurin burst into the room, hands dancing with lightning, with Stormfollower not far behind. With glance around the chaos of the room, the magus growled softly, trying to keep his attention divided between both adversaries. With the sound of crashing waves , a being comprised purely of water flowed to his side. All combatants seemed covered with blood, it gave him pause when he could not tell which wore only their own.

"Do not stir!"

Gilliadson was startled by Alsurin's sudden entrance into the house but quickly recovered.

"Stay your hand, friend, and your magics. I believe the situation is well in hand for now. Just keep an eye on this one that Fluffy is holding while I have a few words with Kalsari. I believe there has been enough violence in this room for one day and would like for all of us to be able to leave here peacefully."

The knight turned to Kalsari.

"Thank you much for the rescue. You have shown me some qualities this day which I did not think existed with your kind. Obviously I have misconceptions about you as I am sure you have some about me. While we will probably never be considered friends, I would like the opportunity to have a conversation with you, in neutral territory of course like New Tanaan, sometime soon. As I promised, I will never raise my hand against you unless you give me reason beyond being what you are."

Alsurin raised a blond eyebrow, questioning whether such a gesture was wise with all circumstances considered. Nevertheless, Gilliadson seemed to be the one in control of this situation. The conjurer relaxed his stance somewhat, dismissed the crackling electricity, and directed his servants attention to the Teir'dal. He had always found knights of any calling an oddity and tonight certainly did not promise to prove him wrong.

Sineliniel saw the puzzled expression on Alsurin's face.

"Kalsari actually rescued us. If we were to be in any danger from her then we would have already been dead. This other wench is another story but I will let my husband decide her fate."

The conjurer's eyebrows went even higher, "Ah..I see" Alsurin glanced at Kalsari in an obvious struggle with disbelief, yet after a moment he simply shrugged and nodded. Even fire had to burn cold sometimes he supposed.

The Knight turned toward the captured Teir`Dal.

"So this is Huntress, the Daughter of D`Vinn. I have heard much about you. I hear you are quite good with your sword and your bow. While you may have me outmatched in the archery department I think it would be interesting to find out just how good your swordsmanship is. No I am not going to kill you. It is not my way to kill one that has been rendered helpless unless it is to put him out of his misery. You are a knight as I am though of a different sort... One thing holds true with all knights and that is our personal honor. I will release you this day if you will give me your word that you will cease to seek the life of those present in this room. Otherwise we will deliver you to the guard of Felwithe to stand trial for the attempted murder of an emissary of the King, namely my wife. Have you any conditions you would like to add, Kalsari?"

"Can't I just kill her and be done with it?" she eyed the ShadowKnight, ignoring the Drakkin's entrance for a moment. He wasnt exactly in her good books either, but she was more irate with the Tier'Dal

Well considering her reputation as a hunter of Sanguine I could not blame you... But I do have a more beneficial solution in mind for your consideration if you would like to hear it.
