D`Nar could still see Shadowbane through the doorway of the old, decrepit building. She could easly put an arrow through his heart if she so wanted but she really wanted to test his mettle first to see just how good he really was. Her informants had put his skill on a par with hers. Would be quite an interesting contest. But her goal now was to get that device that had frozen him into place.

The shaman's sudden appearance nearly made the magus leap out of the bushes. Luckily, or perhaps unluckily, an errant root held his foot fast, sending Alsurin into the dirt.
"Storm, the sun blind you!"
The drakkin retrieved his body, and no small portion of his pride, from the ground and cast an accusing glare at the moss covered tree behind him. "The dusk shelter you," he replied with a bit more grace. "Yes, I've seen him alright." He gestured towards the ruined building through the brush. "Our situation seems to be thus. The Lady Shadowbane has apparently been trapped by some sort of primitive motion suppression field by two Teir'dal goons within that structure. If there are anymore then my ether spy was not positioned correctly. Our knight also fell prey to this trap while attempted to rescue her perhaps moments before i arrived. I could discern no words as the divination is entirely visual in nature, yet the captors seem to be waiting for someone." The conjurer shrugged, returning to the pages of his book with a frown. "It seems action is best taken before this someone arrives."

The Assassin shuddered in silent rage. Sex slaves indeed, what did they think their House was? The Ilharn would not lower himself to such. But her rage was as much from being reminded of her own beginnings as the slur on Mogadeche. She had almost been such a slave had she not ran away and the Priestess found her.
Hatred calmed her rage to a managable level, allowing her to think more clearly than had she simply lashed out. With the silence only an Assassin could master, she moved round them til she was standing behind them. From watching them for the last few days, she knew they only had two of the strange devices, which until today she had not know their purpose. She could probably take both on at once, she was sanguine afterall, but why fight two when she could end one out right.
With the deadly grace and strength she slipped her poisoned dagger in between the ribs of one of the Tier'Dal. A part of her cried out in disgust, it was against the Will of Innoruuk to kill their own, but she was sure these two meant harm in some way.
As the dead man slumped over the table, Kalsari grabbed the device from her hand and turned her attention to the other. The act of murder had rendered her visible, but it made no difference to the strange protection around her. The Paladins sword did not glow any brighter. She slipped the device into a secure pocket in the leather tunic she wore under her chainmail, but never took her eyes off the remaining Tier'Dal.
In a fluid movement she grabbed the man by the neck and slammed him against the wall, holding him high enough that his feet dangled above the floor. Kalsari held her dagger to his chest, digging it in enough to draw blood and cause pain but not kill. A trace of the poison still lingered, making the wound burn.
"Who are you really, and what do you want with my House?" The assassin hissed menacingly.
((edited cos I got the gender of the Tier'Dal wrong. Woops!))

The commotion in the brush caught D`Nar's attention. She turned her head and saw a Barbarian and a Drakkin. The Drakkin appeared to be recovering from a stumble.
"They must be here to rescue Shadowbane." She thought
The Huntress returned her attention to the house as her keen ears picked up another voice. The voice of a female. D`Nar quietly approached the house and peered in the doorway again.
The Sanguine was visible now and had one of the Teir`Dal males held up against the back wall with her dagger against his chest. The other one was slumped over the table, dead.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fear overtook Jen`Vas as he was danging against the wall. This young waif was apparently quite strong. Obviously a Sanguine from Mogadeche's House.
"M M My friend and I only wished what you have." Said Jen`Vas. "Eternal existance."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That foolish Teir`Dal is going to die." Thought the Shadow Knight as she watched the scene from the Shadows. "One shot is all I get... Kill Shadowbane, wound the Sanguine or kill the fool on the wall. Or... I could just wait and see what the two buffoons outside decide to do."

"And you think that can be bought with two mortals?" she hissed back through clenched teeth. The she paused, listening carefully, the hairs on the back of her neck rising. They were being watched, by hunters eyes. Deciding not to take any chances of the male being able to escape. "Then so be it, enjoy eternal existance in the Afterlife!" With that she rammed the dagger into his heart, then let go his neck, watching him slump to the floor. She pulled the dagger from his chest, watched his lifes blood pour from the fatal wound. She removed the other device from his person then turned, the device in one hand, her bloody dagger in the other.
She could not see the one who hunted her, but she knew they were near, but had not moved since she first became aware of them. She glanced at the Paladin and the Koada'Dal, seeing them both still frozen still, then down at the device that was in her hand. She was no spell crafter, she did not understand the runes and was hesitant to touch them. But she couldn't very well just leave them here. It wasn't as though she cared about their fate, but if she was going to leave them to die, she'd be-aswell killing them now while they couldn't defend themselves. She squeezed the dagger slightly but made no other movement. No, she would not kill them in cold blood. They were victims here too, even if he was a Paladin and deserved it. But she didn't know how to release them either.
She eyed the doorway again, keeping her sense open for the whereabouts of the invisible hunter.

Gilliadson watched the scene unfold before him, unable to do anything about it either way. The young Sanguine paused. The knight could read the indecision in her body movement. His blade still only glowing slightly though by all rights it should have been a flaring beacon.
"Cara." Thought the Paladin. "Whatever Jetamio did to her is still working." At Jetamio's unspoken request he let her live that day even though it grated against all he stood for. "Would she return the favor?"

She shifted uneasily on the spot. She hated not being able to see the threat. She looked again at the paladin in his frozen state. If he were to be released she would have two threats, for Jetamio was not here to stop him this time. But the hunter could be an enemy of both for all she knew. She bit her lip in indecision. Well at least if the hunter was also an enemy of the Paladin she could throw him in first.
She eyed the device in her hand again, then pointed it at the paladin, pressing various runes haphazardly and hoping for the best. Eventually a rune, or perhaps a combination of runes, released the paladin...

Suddenly freed, the knight lowered his blade and took a step toward Cara. By the way the Sanguine was acting, he came to the realization that there was another unseen threat in the room. Since the other threat did not make itself visible when he was released Gilliadson quickly concluded that it was a threat to both he an Cara. Gilliadson had no intention of harming the one who had just freed him. It was not his way and perhaps there was yet some honor in this creature. If the other threat was against Cara and him then perhaps he could work that to their mutual advantage or the very least give her a means of escape without the two devices that she now had possession of.

The Knight now freed created a new line of difficulties for the Shadow Knight. Two targets inside two enemies outside that would surely seek her blood if she killed Shadowbane here. She definitely wanted the Sanguine alive and the device that was in her hand. She could tell that the Sanguine was aware of her. Staying in the shadows for now and observing was her best option. She could take the Sanguine easily enough but the knight was an unknown. Maybe Shadowbane would attack the Sanguine and she would take the knight out of the equation for her. The Huntress kept an arrow ready on her bow.

"Cara, I do want to thank you for releasing me." Started the Paladin. "In that now we are even. I spared your life during out last encounter and you apparently have not freed me to kill me. However, I must have those two devices in your posession. The one in your hand obviously to free my wife but the other one is too dangerous for anyone to posess and must be destroyed. Grant me this and my blade will never be drawn against you again unless you give me reason to. On this you have my word as a Knight."

She looked at him incredulously. Did he really think she would just hand over such a powerful device to an enemy? But he hadn't made an adverse movement towards her yet. If it were just she and him it would be different, but the other presense had her agitated. She frowned suspiciously, then slid the device in her hand over the table towards the Paladin, then darted backwards again, keeping well out of his range. Word or not, she did not trust him, and a hand reached to one of the throwing daggers at her waist. Should he turn upon her he'd quickly find one sticking out of him. She knew she could land the knife in him before he could hit the rune to freeze her, such were her reflexes. She kept the other tucked safely away.
She stood ready and tense, her attention split between the Paladin and the invisible threat. It was in such situations that she was truly herself. Her piercing blue eyes were alive with fire, her jet black hair gleamed in the firelight. By looking at her no one would think she was Sanguine, that her heart did not beat. She was cautious but not afraid, an almost feral aura around her, like an untamed cat.

The knight picked up the device from the tabke and turned toward his wife. Bigsmurf had explained the operation of this item to him so finding the correct rune was not a problem. He knew Sineliniel heard everything that had transpired in here and knew that she would follow his lead no matter what. Turning his back toward Cara took a lot of trust on his part but he knew that if she wanted him dead then he would have been that way already. The fact that neither He nor Cara saw their invisible adversary meant that he or she was truly gifted and not one to be taken lightly. Perhaps two more against this invisible being would cause him to leave them unmolested. Gilliadson touched the rune that would free the Koada`Dal.

The now free Elementalist quickly cast her spell that would injure her pet slightly but increase the regeneration rate of her mental energies. Fluffy was freed not because of the slight damage that was done to him. The Blonde Koada`Dal moved to her husband's side with her companion right behind her.
"Thank you Cara." Said Sineliniel as she bowed slightly to the Assassin. Gilliadson put the device into one of his pockets so as to not appear to as a threat to Cara. I know you have no reason to trust either of us but would you place the other item on the table out of our reach and allow us to destroy it?" The Elementalist summoned up three mantles and handed one to her husband put one on herself and tossed the other to Cara. "These will protect us from the heat of my fire bolt that I will use to destroy it. I do hope you see the wisdom in this course of action. We will return the other device to its rightful owner." As far as the invisible threat went, it was about to get quite hot in the room if Cara cooperated.

"Alright Alsurin. The time is ripe."
The shaman moved into a sprinters starting crouch and set his brow and chin.
"On the count of three we rush apon them. Full force mind you. We need the suprise to act as a brief distraction for those within to make best thier escape"
With a few wispered words the ghostly image of a spirit wolf appeared by his side. Other spirits gathered round them too and the shaman whispered to them each in turn. Strength and speed, guile and courage, he spoke thier ancient names and bound thier ethereal forms around them. Then he turned to Alsurin with a feral smile and nearly growled the words.
"One... two...

Now the Elementalist was free... The situation was starting to deteriorate for the young Shadow Knight. She silently readied her bow and took careful aim. One shot through the heart would neutralize two in the room. She would have to move quickly and precicely to get out of this situation intact.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The old Teir`Dal Wizard watched the situation through the eyes of his Mistress. He prepared a portal that was waiting on his final word before openeing in the room where his Mistress waited in the shadows.
