"Nay sir, she is not damaged. T`would take a mighty blow indeed to harm her for she is made almostly wholely of stone and mortar." Stormfollower bows deeply. "I am Stormfollower. Welcome aboard! Thank thee greatly for thy persistance. Had thow not been trailing those louts, we would surely be dead. Help thyselves to our bulging stores. If it will help thee ferry more of thier ilk to thier ancestors we be twice paid at least. We are not far from our destination and can re-stock once there. To whome do we owe such a great feeling of safety on these high seas?"

"I am Shinu Swiftpaw, Captain of the Sea Cat. I only take from the Pirates that we conquer. You have a mighty fine sailing vessel here Stormfollower. We will take what we need from their ship and I suggest you do as well. We will sink her after you have left. I have plenty of Dragon Steaks and other exotic meats on board if you would like a sampling. It is my usual custom to share a meal with those I fight beside before sending them on their way. Unless you are in a hurry. And do not worry about your Drakkin friend. He has too much Human in him to be edible."

"I am much pleased to have met with thee at last, Captain Swiftpaw. Thy name and reputation precede thee as a great liberator of our seas. My people feel safe once more to venture far from shore." He takes the hand of the Vah Shir captain with both of his own and shakes it with genuine glee.
“As for a meal, We would be honoured to dine with you but perhaps a more neutral meat could be agreed upon. We have plenty of fish and I would not want thy dragon meat upsetting anyone’s already sea churned bellies…” He glances at Alsurin, who was actually managing to stay somewhat balanced now, even on the rolling seas.
“or being wasted on those who may not appreciate its subtleties.” He swallows hard “I have no need for anything below the pirates’ decks either. Truth, I fear even the knowledge of their ships manifest. They were foul creatures and up to foul deeds I wager. No doubt there will be slaves and wretches in hold in need of thy transport too.
By the way, thank you for your compliments on the White Sybil, I built her myself. Thy Sea Cat be a wondrous vessel too, indeed! I assume she is of gnomish propulsion, but who is responsible for the design of her hull. Stunning lines, and holds a tight turn by the tangent of thy approach!” He admired the boat with keen interest while the Sea Cats crew worked together on the pirates’ deck in a precise and orderly fashion, securing lines and unloading her salvage in hefty sea bags. It was obvious that they had practiced this drill unto its most refined state.
The three vessels bobbed together on the waves while the prow of the pirates ship was being extracted from the unscathed forward quarter deck of Stormfollowers stone clad ship. High above an albatross briefly surveyed the smoking scene with casual disinterest as it glides on the thermals to its unknowable destination far out at sea. It spotted the shaman and let out its cry of greeting. Stormfollower looked up and smiled, suddenly shifting his view for to see with loaned eyes the wonders of the world. Absentmindedly and unintentionally ignoring his sea bound present company.

The Sea Cat's hull design is my own. The propulsion device by a friend of mine from Ak'Anon. No offense intended toward the Drakkin.. I have many other meats besides Dragon which actually came from two that will surely not be missed either by the Ring of Scale nor the Claws of Veeshan. Fish is always good and I have plenty of varieties on board. Katayana returned to Shinu with a small elemental orb which looked like it contained only air.
"I have seen one of these before... Many circles ago in my youth when I was visiting Mistmoore looking for some Gargoyle eyes. One of the Gypsy dancers that I killed had one and there was a young Elementalist there that had asked me for it. It was not edible and did not look like it would purchase much food so I gave it to him. If you know of another such Elementalist that can use this, take it. I gather it is quite important to one such and I would hate to see it on the bottom of the ocean wasting away." Shinu turned back to Katayana, who was a quite striking Human Bardess. "If you find any unique items be sure to catalogue them and we will see if we can find their rightful owners when we land. For now have a feast prepared on board and let us celebrate new friends!"

Alsurin grimaced at the very idea of dragon meat. Time had soothed revulsion at the thought of killing the great serpents, yet he always saw a dichotomy between the aversion of most sentient creatures to cannibalism and their willingness to eat another thinking being merely because it walked on more pairs of legs. Either eat everybody or no one at all. However, the magus reluctantly admitted, he might be slightly biased. Yet curiosity quickly overcame disgust and the drakkin awkwardly made his way over to peer closer at the orb.
"Yes, I would gladly keep this trinket in trust," he said with a small smile, "until its rightful owner can be found...naturally."

Shinu handed the orb to the Drakkin with a wide grin.
"Come friends and dine! Never let it be said that Shinu Swiftpaw ever let friends leave his company hungry!" The cobalt armored Vah Shir led the way to the Sea Cat where a large table was set up on the main deck for the crews of both ships. There were several species of fish prepared in various ways, deep fried, baked, grilled and smoked. Along with the food there were various wines and ales along with milk and water. A female Vah Shir joined Shinu's side once he boarded his the Sea Cat. She had the look of being a Shaman.
"You did not get yourself injured this time I see." The Lady Vah Shir smiled.
"No darling I did not. Please meet our new friends, Stormfollower, the Barbarian there and I do not know the names of the rest yet. This vision of lovliness is my mate, Lorina. She is the one who patches me up when I run into really tough fights."
"Like Nagafen and Vox?"
"Well yes they were tough but well worth the effort as you saw."
"Hmmph would not have been worth it if you had not returned to me." Said Lorina. "Well if Shinu says you are friends then friends you are! Come sit and feast!"
Shinu pulled out a chair for Lorina before standing behind his.

by Jetamio
Back in the calm silence of Surefall Glade, Jetamio took advantage of there being no one around to give them place a good clean. It was not something she did often, most people did not even think she knew what a mop was let alone how to use one. She did all the rooms one by one, simply giving the bedrooms a once over with a duster and a quick sweep. She seldom went in others rooms, but she knew certain members of their Alliance were messier than others.
Alsurin's organised chaos of a room was an example of this. She shook her head with a bemused smile and opened the window a little to let some fresh air into the stuffy room. But her leaning over the desk to do so disturbed the pile of papers on his desk. Cringing at the earful she would get for getting them mixed up, she began to pile them back up...until one caught her eye.
She froze, staring at her name on a parchment in Alsurin's room. Despite her normal reservations, she found herself reading it.
Subject: Jetamio
age: indeterminate
race: incarnate ~form: Feir'dal
affinity: fire, spirit (all other tests inconclusive)
origin: Realm of growth, point of planar intersection believed to be Kelethin
Revered Luminaries of her Majesty
As you know, during my current path of study (see attached summary) I came across an unexpected enigma in the specimen Fa'lesni 43, also known as Jetamio. (see reports, Jilton 4-6) I hope that these recent insights may be worthy of your attention.
1) The claim of the subject's blood possessing the property of higher atonement has been verified. A subject under the effects of sanguine curse (see Halisthrim's Shadow of the Underdark) apparently made a full recovery. Personal examination detected blood flow, fluctuating heart rate, and return of function to the lesser capillaries. Far from conclusive, further investigation shall of course be necessary.
2) Although Grenu's Incarnate theory has suffers from much rebuke within the current spheres, I would like to propose a hypothesis in its light. Following an interview with source 6 (see Jullian 1), the mystery of the planar vanguard was brought to light. He was reluctant to speak of the matter, and i must work with currently insufficient data.
I would like to put forth a hypothesis of resonance harmonizing.(detailed in section f4 of Grenu) It was formally believed that this vanguard was itself an incarnate of the divine aspect Lestrial. (see Willowen Sagethorn's A study of Pre-combine beliefs and practice) I propose this to to be untrue. Rather, due to the vanishing of the creature upon the most recent departure of the subject from this plane, i would say that the existence of the two is more firmly intertwined.
Grenu proposed that a greater incarnate cannot enter the material plane within a full form. Instead it must reach the intended state through a series of stages.
a) a collection of essence is given material form. It is neither tempered nor directed, spiritually incomplete even when compared to a mortal.
b) the subject must be exposed, and internalized, the negative and positive movements that churn within the being of all material beings. If the incarnate's purpose is to be made manifest within the material plane, then it must adopt these attribute.
c) proposed factor 1 manifested, and was internalized within the subject. Granting comprehension of substance of the negative drive.
d) Delsari, manifested and joined with the subject upon departure from this plane
Now the subject has returned, complete. What is her purpose? What aim will drive our actions in response to this possibility?
I await your judgement,
Alsurin Sunveil, summoner of the 4th circle
Her blood ran cold. What did he think he was doing? Where was this paper going to end up? He was away with Tortha at the moment, she couldn't even ask him. Her eyes widened. Tortha! What if he was trying to learn more about her from Tortha.
She shoved the parchement in her pocket and ran out of the room, pausing only to grab a cloak as she summoned her horse. She had to find them.
