Alsurin pulled a chair to him, too tired for his usual frivilous diplays of power, and sat down, face cracking into a grin.
"Plans within plans... within plans." the young man chuckled and shook his head.

Jetamio shakes her head with a frown. "No, I have never seen that male before, he is a different bloodline therefore cannot to my knowledge 'pull her strings'. Tajer is her Beldroin therefore if anyone controls the rogue it would be her, or to a lesser extent the Dreadlord that leads them...Moga something..."

She trailed off, thinking of what Tajer had told her before about the sanguine, and fiddling with the dragonscale pendant that she still held in her hand.

Morgueanna crept up to the building and looked up at the shattered window in time to see the elemental take up its guarding duties. Definately a mage, but she feared no mage. She stepped closer to the wall lightly laying a hand against it and listening. She could not make out what was being said but knew that at least two or more were inside. It was folly for her to try anything alone and Vendayvian was probably half way home by now. His speed amazed her. But she could watch who came out and bide her time. Slowly she backed from the wall when there was a "snap" under her foot.

Closing her eyes and swearing under her breath she backed away faster now changing her course and keeping an eye on the window. With luck they wouldnt have a ranger, without she would prey her spell would go off before they got to her.

"Mogadeshe is dead. This new vampire may be his replacement. Or mayhaps he is the orriginal progenerator of thier coven. Either way he has shown us his form... the empty vessel that once held his mortal spirit, and as with all of his kind it now draws the primal energies into its sad vaccume in a hopless need for fulfillment." Stormfollower strides towards the window and looks over Alsurins elemental servant out into the night.
"This makes him visible to the spirits, and now that I have seen him, to us... We have retrieved what we sought this night and the spirits will now be watching our new friend, as they do us... let them not be ashamed. Let us vow to do all in our power to remove this evil plague from our lands" He turns towards his companions, face charged with resolve.
"Only through our continued dilligence can we hope to free the countless throngs enthralled by false powers and enslaved by evil. Only through our vigil of good can we honour those who have passed to the beyond to get us this far. It is to them we owe this debt. For we are still here by thier sacrafice. We have endured, and though the fight seams long and without resolution, I remind you. We are still here. We will continue or prevail. And though we may fall we shall not yeild. On we shall fight through the countless ills and sail high over eternal triumphs." He smiles wide at them and pats the motionless elemental on the shoulder.
"We have prevailed here tonight, we have shown them that we can take from them as easily as they have taken from us. The young one goes back to be punished for her failure and the old one shares a part in her shame. Let them spit thier venomous spite at us, for we are unafraid!"
He turns back to the window now and projects his thunderous voice out of it.
"Yellow Dogs! Send forth thy armies against our might. Or assail us with thy assasins, One by one or in one fell swoop we shall send thee back to join thy ancestors. May you trouble them as much as ye hath us! Cowards mothers do not weep! Craven Dogs! Thow hast outraged nature long enough, and her retribution draws nigh!" Eyes ablaze with passion he turns once more toward his friends and speaks calmly.
"Thier foul deeds may subsided for a time while they lick thier wounded pride and re-kindle what desire they might summon through whispered councels. But, by truth, i think they care little if they sleep or rise again."
He apraoches his two failthfull companions and puts an arm around each.
"We have this demon by the ears now, yet we can neither hold it nor safely let it go. Justice is in one scale and self preservation in the other. Naught but us stand astride them."

The commotion from the next room brought the knight fully awake. Gilliadson sat up listening for a few moments before slipping out of bed and getting dressed. The Human looked at the Koada`Dal who was lying on the other bed. She somehow slept through all the noise. Gilliadson walked back to the bed and gently nudged the sleeping Elementalist.

"Arise, Beloved, there is evil afoot!" Whispered the brown-haired knight to his betrothed

Sineliniel opened her eyes and saw her knight standing next to her bed fully armored.

"What is it, Gill?" She asked, her voice sounding almost as if she sang the question.

"There was a disturbance in the adjacent room." Gilliadson handed Sineliniel her magical Robes and her reagent pouch. The Golden-haired Koada`Dal dressed quickly and pulled a little of the malachite dust from her pouch and blew it into the air. She softly sang the incantation that summoned her companion from the Elemental Planes. Quickly she summoned more items, which she handed to her companion who equipped them.

"Come Fluffy," Sineliniel almost sang, "We may be needed."

The couple could hear some conversation from the next room but could not make out what was being said. Sineliniel kissed Gilliadson and he was enveloped in flame though it did not burn either of them. Sineliniel then kissed her Elemental from the Plain of Air on his cheek and he likewise was engulfed. The three of them exited their room and walked to outside the door of the room where all the noise had come from. The noise had died down except for the sound of moving furniture.

The couple then heard the speech given by one with a heavy Halasian accent. The words burned deeply into the soul of the Knight of Truth as they rang true to his calling.

Gilliadson opened the door and hailed the group he found within the room.

"Very well spoken, sir!. I am sorry but I could not help but hear as the racket from this room awakened me. Gilliadson Shadowbane of the Knights of Truth. If there is evil to be fought please accept the assistance of my arm and my sword. This lovely creature behind me is my betrothed, Sineliniel Eledhwen and of course her companion Fluffy." Gilliadson extended his hand to the Halasian in friendship.

Alsurin felt his spirit kindled by the shaman's oratory, a flame that, for the moment, manged to drive away the chill of those events now retreating into the recent past. Yet, even now a whisper of doubt coiled itself around what should have been the elation of victory. The young man gave a weary smile as he found himself encircled by an arm that could have easily crushed the air from him. Luckily Stormfollower had quickly ascertained that not all folk were as resilient as Northmen.

The door creaked open as an armed human entered, closely followed by a Koda'dal dressed in robes Alsurin recognized as those of another elementalist, albeit the style of another culture. Sensing the conjurer's surprise at the new arrivals, the automaton of stone turned and began to stride towards the newcomers with deadly intent, quickly gathering speed.

With growl of irritation, the magus snapped his fingers and drew symbol in the air. "Desist, by the Pacts I bid you depart."
The elemental stopped with a suddenness unachievable by creatures of flesh, "By the Pacts I obey and am undone." Green, orb-like eyes vanished like snuffed candles, and the massive creature's form dissolved back into aether with the sharp crack of a rock splitting.

He ducked from under the barbarian's arm and stepped backward with a murmured apology, content to let his friend control the situation, watching the knight and his companion intently with draconic eyes of cold blue.

She listened to Stormfollower's speech, glad he seemed ok. One thing confused her however.

"Mogadeche is not dead, I saw him the the other day...well, he's as alive as any sanguine, but you know what I mean."

Then a familiar figure came through the door, followed by another she recognised. She raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Well hello there you two."

Gilliadson turned to face the Red-haired druid he had met just before He and Sineliniel were betrothed.

"Lady Jetamio!" he exclaimed genuinely surprised, "It is so good to see you again. You remember I had said if you ever needed my sword it is yours."

Sineliniel piped in "And Fluffy and I will always be at your service whenever you need us. I can do no less for the one who saved my knight." Sineliniel stepped further into the room to stand beside her chosen.

Puzzled momentarily by Jetamios sighting of Mogadeshe Stormfollower reached quickly forward and shook Gilliadsons hand in a firm two-handed shake. Then smiling he threw his head back and laughed arms out wide exclaiming to the ceiling.
"Gilliadson Shadowbane of the Knights of Truth!"
He clenched his hands into fists and shook them with fervent excitement at the roof. Then leveling his gaze apon the knight and his mate he placed his fists firmly on his hips.
"Gilliadson Shadowbane of the Knights of Truth and thy radiently beautifull mate Sineliniel! Thy pledge is met by thankfull ears. I am Stormfollower, Shaman of the Wolves of the North, wholeheartedly I extend to thee our humble gratitude and likewise our services whence so ever thy need will be" He bows low before them.
"The time surely doth dictate an urgent need for aid such as thee and thine may offer. Yet I must caution thee gravely. By sailing thine cloaks into such an arena as we prepare to fight, thow most assuredly stand thine lives.. Nay thy very souls in dire peril of forfieture. The fiends against whome we tilt are vampires..."
Scowling he spits into the fire, The hiss of its vaporisation answered by the pop of an ember.
"Souless and without honour... Bitter husks of putrid evil intent. Bent on an insatiable eternal feasting apon the blood and spirits of the blameless inocents and the rightious few. Even now, in a plot to regain the property of my wife"
He nods and winks at Jetamio
"we hath sent two of them skulking back to thier rotting haunts setting into motion a whirwind of war ...and so caused your sleep to be disturbed. I would say I was regretfull for this indescretion but it would seem that it hath made for two..Nay three"
He bows to Fluffy
"fatefull new friendships for wich I am feast-day-glad to have roused thee."

Alsurin rolled his eyes good naturedly as the elemental was yet again acknowledged as a personage. Every sorcerer had their whims, some were simply more impractical then others. "Personally," the drakkin began, retrieving packages of various oddities from the crevices of a bookshelf, "I would not like to be present when the children of Mistmoor arrive with their inevitable retribution. Sunrise is still at least eight hours away."

He began emptying the contents of his acquisitions into pouches of soft grey fur hanging from his belt. The air was for a moment filled with the scent of rose petals mingling oddly with the vapors of strange minerals and the allure of exotic spices from distant shores. The decidedly pleasant barrage only somewhat masked the chilling hint of those other more morbid materials that found their place within the conjurer's repertoire. "Forgive me," he said over the sounds accompanying his work's conclusion. "I am Alsurin Sunveil, son of Keikolin the Enlightened, Archmagus in service to the Ring of Elements. I too offer my gratitude, service, and apologies that you had to stumble into the midst of a gathering storm."

"Vampires!" exclaimed the Koada`Dal, "The only creatures I deem lower than Necromancers." Even in anger her voice sounded musical. "I have found no redeeming qualities whatsoever in that breed." Sineliniel looked at her beloved and noticed that his holy sword was glowing, though the glow was starting to fade. "Beloved, your sword... There is evil nearby but it appears to be moving away."

Gilliadson looked at his blade inside its crimson translucent scabbard as the glow faded away.

"Apparently this group has put fear into them." Gilliadson said. "I do not know who is the leader among you but our lives are yours to command. Any friends of Lady Jetamio are friends of ours for if not for her we would not be as we are now." Gilliadson looked at his companion as she smiled glowingly. Sineliniel turned to the Drakkin Elementalist and bowed politely.

"I am Sineliniel Eledhwen of Felwithe, it is always a pleasure to meet another Elementalist of the Light. It was your progenitor that granted me citizenship in Crescent Reach." Sineliniel silently bid her companion to stand in the corner out of the way. She then made a few gestures and sang a short incantation. A small cookie appeared in her hand which she tossed to the elemental. "Good Fluffy." she said as her companion snatched the cookie out of the air and ate it. It almost appeared that the Elemental had smiled. Sineliniel turned back to Alsurin. "Perhaps you and I can have some time to compare notes."

Morgueanna watched from a distance not too far away useing her sight spells to let her see into the rooms window from the top of the nearby hill. Still incased in invisability her lips pull back into a snarl as she sees yet another male, human by the look wearing the armor of a warrior of some kind and someone else step inside the room. The wild gestures of the crazed barbarian and the movements of the others prevented her from seeing the last one enter, all she could see was a shoulder or a movement of arm at most, but she knew now that this was a well laid trap and with five setting the original trap, it's no wonder the young sanguine had fallen to them. These wretches attacked with such numbers against one and had the gall to sprout there curses at them? Her hate burned inside her at these cowards.

"So, you wish to throw your words out windows and preach the evils that we cause when you do naut even follow your own rules of fair combat. So be it, feel the traitorus bite of one who skulks in the darkness."

She hissed as she brought to mind her most potant spell that may not kill them but would definately cause great harm and ignight the building around anyone else inside it around there heads.

Slowly she raised her wand and staff pulling all the power needed to launch her arcane devistation glareing inside the window, her inhanced vision showing her there hatefull smiles and humor.

Slowly the others separated as she became visible her spell nearly complete as she saw the full face of the Koda Dal standing by the doorway. The pale skin... the eyes... the graceful movements...

She stopped and stared into this woman's eyes, her waving hands comming to a slow stop and her jaw comming slightly open. A vision of another Koda Dal... that same smile, the same graceful movements, though covered in armor....

Morgueganna stood not moving.... she couldn't do it. She couldn't just attack from a distance like such a coward.... Her mother had ingrained that into her. Slowly her arms fell to her sides as she stared into this woman's face so similar to the others. Once again the barbarian's ranting blocked her view and she shook herself back to reality. Moments later she was gone.

Alsurin bowed with a polite if somewhat distracted smile, and began to return pleasantries when a whisper of power sent a brief chill through him. Someone must be gathering quite an impressive amount of mana to produce a distortion that vivid. Yet, before he could give the matter another moment of attention, the ripple vanished, leaving only the normal eddies and currents that moved though the ambient ether. A shadow of concern passed over the mage's features and he paused for a moment to recoup his thoughts. "Ah yes, compare notes..I would like that." He looked towards the dark street beyond the shattered window and frowned slightly. "A strange night..yes....but i digress...have you everything we sought Jetamio?"

Sineliniel's eyes narrowed as she felt a surge of mana being drawn off in the distance as if someone were gathering power to themselves to cast a spell.. Whatever it was she knew it was going to be quite powerful. The Koada`Dal took a step toward the window and the surge faded. The Ambassador peered out into the darkness beyond the window but not even her keen eyes could discern anything. Keeping her naive appearance, she moved back toward Gilliadson and stood beside him taking his hand in hers. Very few knew of her abilitiy to command the power that this Elementalist possessed. Her father was a great Enchanter and taught her well on how to keep any enemies on the side of underestimating her.

She only half listened to the conversations around her, though she did scowl at Stormfollowerss spitting. She knew his hatred of vampires but in her eyes it didn't excuse bad manners. But she said nothing of it just now, instead standing near the window but not in direct view of anyone looking in.

She stared out with half closed eyes as though in a trance, her minds eye seeing the lifeweb like a lattice over her normal vision. With the piece of her soul returned to her, she was once again as mortal as she would ever be and her direct link to the Mother weakend to what it originally was at her birth. But she was still who she was, and the lifeforces were clear to her in the web.
Outside shone another lifeforce, shining brightly with the arcane forces it was summoning. Not being of natural order, the magic itself was invisible to her, but the effects on the lifeforce could be seen and even sensed in the air. Just before Jetamio was about to alert the others, the being vanished. The Druid searched the Web's silvery strands for it evaded her.

Then she heard the Drakkin mention her name and blinked, shaking her head to return her vision to normal. "Huh, what?"
