So many questions that still needed answers...
What sort of Sanguine could walk about outside in the daylight?
What connection was there between Jetamio and Cara (if that is what her name really was)
What was this creature doing in Surefall Glade and with Tortha?
And what of Jetamio? No mere mortal creature could interfere with his blade?
What of Sineliniel's nightmares?
Gilliadson felt as if he looked like a fool before Tortha and Stormfollower but Gilliadson did not want to be the agent that drove a wedge between Jetamio and her husband. He had too much repsect for them. Gilliadson was one who formed bonds quickly with those that he felt were good at heart. Tortha seemed like a good lad though for some strange reason was somewhat distant from his mother. The knight wanted to have some time to get to know the boy and to reassure him that he had meant him no harm.
Whether Cara was to be a threat remained to be seen. Right now Gilliadson had another Sanguine that was seeking to be cured of his curse. Gilliadson felt no falsehood in the man's statements.
The group of three made their way to the front of the caves. The last rays of the sun were fading from the glade and the stars were slowly making their appeances. Any other evening the knight would have enjoyed a walk here with the Elementalist that was by his side. The couple led the bound Sanguine to the house and went inside hoping to find Stormfollower and Alsurin.

Well by now she was thoroughly confused. This woman, who owed her absolutely nothing, stepped in front of the blade to protect her. Then a rush of strange energy through her body, which had actually been rather uncomfortable as her body had both fought and embraced it. Somehow she had managed not to give the pain away in her expression.
Now she followed the Druid outside obediantly, her expression slightly dazed as she tried to make sense of the feelings around her. Confusion and suspecion being the strongest, but more directed at Jetamio than herself. The Druid had risked much to do what she had done.
Cara stopped suddenly, looking back towards the caves. Another sanguine was in the glade, one she didn't know, but she sensed his intent. But the Paladin was there already. Then Jetamio was at her side again. "What is it?"
"A sanguine my Lady, one who wishes he wasn't. He looks for a cure." she turned to look at Jetamio again, remembering what Tajer had told her of her ability to cure the 'curse' and saw a troubled look on her face.
Jetamio stared down at the small group by the caves. Indecision swept through her. She knew couple drops of her blood could cure him, but the last time she had allowed it her world had turned completely upside down. True, it had led her back home to here, a husband and child, but she still feared what chaos could follow if word of her ability got out into the masses. As it was her friends were confused. She shouldn't have touched the blade, that was stupid. She hadn't even used any power, her mere touch had caused it to flare so brightly. Now there would be questions, she was sure. Even the girl was looking at her questioningly.
The druid stood a long moment watching then turned and continued towards the hill behind the hall where hopefully there would be some privacy. Kalsari followed, though not without a quick glance back at the other sanguine.

A bird sang, a herald announcing the swift approach of dusk. Alsurin tried to make eye contact with Tortha, motioning the beastspeaker towards his father. Tortha and Stormfollower, everyone seemed to make use of them without a thought. He and Cara, whatever manner of harpy the girl hid behind doe eyes, were just the most recent to realize the value the son could have in the schemes. Stormfollower's brooding was that of a man staring hollowly at the vast shadowed web others had made of his life. It sickened Alsurin, a feeling of wrongness threatening to convulse him. What need were there for fiends within the dark underbelly of earth when their equals lurked behind the eyes of those closest to the few men who strove towards good?
He wanted in that instant to confess, to cast himself at the mercy of these two who had given him so much, from who his plans might take everything. Alsurin open his mouth and cast aside this mantle, a dark inheritance he had unwittingly claimed from his fellow man. Yet, the some rebellious claw from within took firm hold.
Was not the very reason he sought this prize so that such things would never again hold dominion? Was not the greatest good his aspiration? These strange misgivings must simply be the attempt of the entropic force to stop him from bringing forth the light. Yes, that must be it of course! What fool he had been, he was a servant, to falter would be arrogance, he did not have the right. Cutting back his traitorous words the summoner smiled, blue eyes cleansed of uncertainty in the wake of his reborn conviction.
"Well it seems the three of us are left to our own devices......."

There comes to all a day of reckoning. A day when all hidden agendas are revealed and all pretenses dropped. Sineliniel knew that she was going to have to share her secret with these friends eventually so that they would know that they could count on her when the need arose. Her beloved knew her secret. Some Elementalists developed their power only through long years of study, others, like Sineliniel, were natural Elementalists. Sineliniel was a creature of perfect balance. She played the part of being child-like so that those who stood to oppose her would not expect to be devastated when she brought the full control of her power to bear. Due to her nature, the Elemental she called forth to serve as her companion was a little bit more than the soulless automaton that many other Elementalists called forth. Her Elemental was sentient and actually had feelings. Fluffy served his mistress out of devotion for her.
Sineliniel sensed that there were other secrets and agendas in this group. Her beloved appeared to be the only open book among these friends. That was going to have to change and change very soon or these friends would all fall apart. Gilliadson had told her a long time ago that the truth has the power to make one free.
Their meeting at the inn was not just some chance happening. Sineliniel knew it and so did Gilliadson. The Higher Powers brought them together at that moment for a reason just as they had brought her and her Leofa together.
So many questions... She knew Gilliadson was asking them over and over in his mind.
The three of them entered the house and saw that no one was back yet. They all sat down at the table and waited.

The door opened with a loud bang, and thoroughly drenched drakkin strode in, the squish of his sodden boots upon the floor only serving to deepen his malcontent. Leaving the door open for his companions, he pulled down his hood and ran a hand through wet blond hair. "Blasted freeport fabrics! Apparently their tailors have never encountered this 'rain' phenomena before. One minute in the downpour and its like a maid's dishrag."
Allsurin assaulted his foot with zeal, hopping about upon one leg like acrobat as the force of suction fastened the boot firmly in place. "Nothing but bears, and rain of course. Oh yes, Karana seems to have nothing better to do then bless this place no less then every other day. Why don't these tree-lovers quit worrying about the bears for one blinded second and acquire some signs ....or roads for that matter! If these vampires are indeed out then they will perish either of chill or shear frustration, the Rathe have pity on the husks of their souls."
The tirade continued within this vein for several minutes, pausing only at the conjurer's more dangerous fluctuations of balance. His expressive tenor voice more then managed to be heard over chorus of rain upon the roof. Eventually the leather came free with a noise of displaced water, sending the young man reeling.

Sineliniel looked at the soaked Drakkin Elementalist and had to stiffle a giggle. His entrance was quite comical even if he would not have thought so at the moment. Sineliniel rose from the table and summoned a small fireball which she used to light the fireplace.
"Come sit by the fire Alsurin. Fluffy can fetch some dry clothes for you if you like." Sineliniel smiled sweetly.
The bound Sanguine at the table looked on with amusement.

"What game are you playing Kalsari of Neriak?" she did not even stop, carried on walking.
Cara sighed. So the druid did know who she was. "A quest, to spread the Hatred."
"And what does it have to do with me? Why do you tail my family and I?"
"Because you are a challange, you know no Hate. You don't even hate me, after all I've done to you. I even killed you." she frowns, not understanding at all.
Jetamio waves a hand dismissively. "Killing me is useless, I can return. My family and friends may hate you for it, but it is of little odds to me really..."
Jetamio stopped in her tracks. The heavens opened above them, drenching them with Karana's blessings. Perhaps He did not want her to leave, it was not yet time. With a sigh, resigning herself to fate and the consequences it would bring, she turned and headed back towards the Hall, a confused Cara in tow.
They came in just behind Alsurin, watching with amusement at his tirade, Cara even openly chuckling at his remark about the sanguine before quickly shutting up.
Jetamio looked around the room before settling her golden gaze on the bound sanguine. Cara stayed back, her eyes also on the sanguine, her face now expressionless.
Jetamio came closer to him, though not close enough to touch him. She looked over him as though judging him. Unknown to him, nor even anyone else, her fate hung in his hands.

The young man remained seated on the floor, any notion of composure apparently forgotten, trying to unsuccessfully divide his efforts between removing his other boot and massaging blood back into the foot already freed. Muttered complaints accompanied each activity as a matter of principle. "What ?, oh thank you mi'lday. Yes, it would be greatly appreciated. Tortha should be here in a moment. ..Why don't we split up? Brilliant idea! We can each get lost in the manner most suiting us!...why if ever.."
Alsurin suddenly frowned, memory informing him with unappreciated vividness that this particular tactic had been his own notion. "Well um...anyway doesn't really matter," He tugged at the boot with decidedly lessened drama. "I don't know where Storm is, he was still here when we set out."
At last the second boot came free and the summoner stood up, wincing as circulation returned to his feet. Catching sight of Jetamio and Cara, he paused for a moment and gave them both a knowing smile. The woodland trek may have been miserable, but it had given him a great deal of time for thought. The summoner took seat by the fire with a grateful sigh a snapped his fingers. Two chairs obediently sailed over to accommodate the newcomers.
He then noticed that a new, not to mention unexpected, face was present.
"Oh, forgive my rudeness. Who is our guest this dismal night?"

Gilliadson watched as Jetamio and Kalsari returned. Instinctively he glanced at his blade inside the translucent scabbard and the glow had not changed. Gilliadson kept his hand on the table so as not to appear threatening to Cara, he had already given her his message and no further actions would be taken against her during this meeting. He still felt no hatred toward the creature... only pity that one so young would have thrown her life away to become a parasite upon the rest of the living.
Zeph looked at the young sanguine behind the druid that entered. He knew what she was. He turned to Gilliadson and was about to speak but Gilliadson motioned him to silence. Zeph then understood and obeyed.
Gilliadson turned to Alsurin. "hold on to your questions for now, Alsurin. We need to wait for Stormfollower and Tortha to return so that we only have to tell this tale once. Suffice it to say that He came willingly and he will not be breaking that Mithril rope within his lifetime.

The sky opened up and poured rain down apon the nothron shaman. He had left on a quick walkabout to clear his mind and the rain was doing much to improve his mood. The water drenched him thouroughly washing away the cloud that had surrounded him in the hall. He liked the rain, his human father had worshipped Karana and they had often had some of thier best fishing excurtions in the midsts of inclement weather. The rains were good, they brought much needed water to the trees and allowed them to reach thier lofty hieghts, it washed away the dust and dirt that mans industry kicked up and it replenished the mountains with the water they fed to the rivers and oceans. It was another of the wonderfull cycles that life was rife with. Similar in many ways to the path his spirit had traveled through each of its incarnations. Ancestral memories recycled themselves, ever refined through the distilation of birth, life, death and accention. He relied on these memories and allowed them to guide his thoughts as he walked on through the deluge. The clarity of thier immutable laws resounded in his head. Long before the rise of the Erudin towers, back past the first councils of the combine empire, even before those first few humans marched south from the bossom of the northland and away from thier past, through ages of warring clans to the very birth of his Nothron peoples. Life, to exist at all, must grow then die. None could ignore this without risking the stagnation of oblivion. Life replaced itself then slowly replenished the earth by its passing. In this way was the sum of all spirit was refined in the ultimate cycle of nature.
As he neared the completion of his walkabout Stormfollower aproached the place it had begun and noticed happily that in the distace Tortha also aproached the hall.
"Tortha my son!" He shouted, glad to see he who would replace him when the time came. "Whence thy training allows, wouldst it please thow also to join with me in some fishing?"
His path had come to a junction with his sons just before the short stone path that led into the alliances safe-house.

Jetamio regarded the mithril ropes that bound the male sanguine, then frowned in confusion. "If he came freely, why have you bound him? If he truly wishes to regain his mortality, what threat is he? Unbind him." She made no move to untie the ropes herself, he was Gilliadson's captor and he had final say, but she was not keen on having prisoners.

"I bound him in case the hunger came over him before any of you returned and also as a gesture to to make sure no one saw him as a threat." Said Gilliadson. "He agreed to be bound not only for our safety but for his as well. I will release him at the consensus of all or when he is cured whichever comes first. That was the condition that we had agreed upon and I assure you I did not tie him uncomfortably. I am not a cruel person."
Zeph spoke up. "It is well M'lady. It is as the Knight has spoken."
Gilliadson spoke again. "I know Stormfollower's temperament when it comes to Sanguine and I did not want him to see this one as a threat before we had a chance to share share his tale. If you know of a cure for him then please let me know what we need to get and it shall be done."

Alsurin sighed. "Well as far as natural," the drakkin stressed the word, "cures are concerned I'm afraid arcane sciences have not yielded anything effective. Alchemists can no more ward off the condition then they can the hand of death, ethically anyway. Mana can be channeled through the creature to alter its form in manner that lessens the characteristic 'thirst.' However after viewing the results, I would say that this 'therapy' usually ends up mutilating the being more then the curse ever did. All other acknowledged methods are; far too dangerous, beyond the power of any living sorcerer, expressly forbidden, or a combination of the three." The conjurer grimaced in memory of his own all too successful attempt at the last.
A grin brightened his face at the sound of Stormfollower's booming voice. Apparently Tortha and his father had not been sidetracked by the dryads after all.

"Good grief, I'm sure he can control himself enough. His kind are not the mindless bloodsuckers of Mistmoores caverns."
She listened quietly to the various suggestions of 'cures' or other such methods. She even raised an eyebrow with a slight grimace at Alsurins ideas. She turned back to Zeph, though she addressed them all as she spoke softly. "I know of a cure...right here in this room."
Cara shifted slightly by the door, watching the scene with intense interest. She barely even noticed Tortha and Stormfollower re enter until Tortha came to her side then looked in his mothers direction questioningly.
Jetamio looked up as her husband and son appeared and she gave Stormfollower a warning look before he launched into a tirade against their captive vampire. "Trust me. I promise, all will be revealed in time. But you must trust me."
When she was satisfied that he would not attack, she looked back to Zeph.
"Is it truly what you desire?"

Zeph looked squarely into the druid's eyes as he spoke his answer.
"It is, M'Lady. I never wanted this curse upon me. Do not be too hard on the Knight. I know he did what he felt would be best in the situation as he had explained it to me along the way here and if I had been in his boots, I would surely have done the same."
Gilliadson released Zeph from his bonds now being assured that a cure was within reach.
"I sense that you have a very good reason for not sharing the knowlege of this cure before Jetamio. Not a word of it shall escape my lips and since Zeph seems to be an honorable sort, I believe that we can have him swear to never say a word about it as well.
"Zeph looked to the knight and then back to the druid. If you so wish it, then my silence is assured."
