Quiet Time

** This is after The Rescue Mission thread **
The months went by rather quickly and the Elementalist slowly watched her slender figure change with the growing baby inside. Aunt Marial and her mother were quite the proud grandparents to be, though her parents already were now that they knew that Elwinde was still alive, Life Bonded and had a daughter. Sindera came to visit from time to time but would soon be returning to Felwithe to be enrolled in the Citadel. Gilliadson had been promoted to being an instructor in the Temple Academy. Sineliniel knew that his heart burned to rebuild his family home in the Commonlands, but that was not to be as long as D'Lere was alive. Now was not the time for her Leofa to think about that with his daughter on the way. A paladin of Erollisi Marr! She is truly to be a child of destiny.
The two of them still had not picked out a name for her...
The room was quiet. Her mother and Aunt Marial were out shopping for things for the baby. Gilliadson was in the forge making his daughter's first sword and shield. Sineliniel was sitting in her favorite chair looking out the window at the Koada`Dal children swimming in the pond. The Elementalist softly sang an ancient Dal song about a pair of lovers in the Elddar Forest. As she sang, her thoughts drifted toward a certain Fier`Dal druidess...
Jetamio was off in the Northlands of Antonica getting ready to bear her own child as well.
"I really miss her." Sineliniel thought.

An ancient song played in her mind as she wove the grasses together into a mat for sitting on. She didn't notice she was singing it aloud at first until she caught glances her way. Jetamio was not known for her singing ability. She promptly stopped, but the tune still sang in her mind. She stopped weaving for a moment, and sat listening as it took her to a time and place far from here.
The half elf Neja taking her flame haired daughter out into the Faydark for the first time, to the place she was certain the child was conceived, but she did not mention it. Instead bright green eyes sparkled with bemusement as the child nosed into animals burrows and such.
Jetamio shook her head. The images reminded her of home, wondering what the others were up to. She wondered how Sineliniel was faring, with it being her first child. She hoped someone would tell her what to expect. She patted her own stomach; this would be her sixth child, although there were hundreds of years between some of her children. It felt a little strange to have another so soon (to her eyes) after Tortha, and realised that she might actually have some semblance of a family happening.
Smiling to herself, she continued her weaving.

The white marble walls of the room glowed softly in the warm light of the lightstone lanterns as the sun set below the hills surrounding the city. A tapestry hung next to the window depicting various events in her family's history. Lady Elanil, Sineliniel's mother was currently charged with its upkeep. There was still much room on it for future events to be weaved into it. The thought of Jetamio brought to Sineliniel's mind another druid. One she had never met but her mother and aunt had. Sineliniel found the portion of the tapestry that held that image. Willanaome was a rarity among halflings. While her mother and her aunt did not think much of the meeting at the time, when the Shadowbanes entered their lives and the story of Willanaome's demise was heard, Mother decided to put a record of their meeting with the young druidess into the tapestry to honor her. Sineliniel had described to her mother the day that Gilliadson had finally opened his eyes to her and that event was recorded on the tapestry as well. Sineliniel's eyes drifted to the last image on the tapestry and saw one of her in her new sapphire blue maternity gown holding hands with her Leofa in the forest. The baby moved inside her and she smiled warmly.
"Dos oth siera fal draeval, Inlullin Uss, Dos oth siera fal draeval." Sineliniel sang the words and a wave of love swept over her. Somehow she sensed that the child smiled.

There had been many days that were full of fuss and bustle with the future grandparents in and out and taking Sineliniel shopping for the baby's things. The cradle was really a wonderful piece of workmanship which Gilliadson had made two of. The other one was sent to Stormfollower for their child. It was crafted with a gold colored wood and had silver vines with emerald colored leaves etched into it. The bedding for Stormfollower's child was selected with the freezing temperatures of Northern Antonica in mind while the one here in the room was designed for the more temperate climate of Fayedwer. It was still early spring and the blossoms on the tree outside her window were just starting to bloom. Four more months. Sineliniel wondered how long before Jetamio would have hers and how long afterward before she would hear of it. It was these quiet moments that the Elementalist treasured the most. They gave her time to commune with the child within her. Sineliniel felt the bond between her and her daughter. It was during these times that she could feel her daughter smile.
"Myrikel." Said Sineliniel softly to the child. "You will be called Myrikel."

The evenings were still a little chilly so Sineliniel tossed a small fireball into the fireplace in her room to get it started. Gilliadson would be home soon and she looked forward to some quiet time with her husband. It seemed that the more this child grew inside her, the more her love grew for her family and her friends. Mid-Tuile... (Mid Spring) Another two thirds of a season (Two Months) and she should be a mother at last. The High Priestess at the Temple of Life esitmated her delivery time very close to what Sineliniel had figured herself. Three and one-third to three and two-thirds seasons. Sineliniel had conceived on the first day of the month of Ivanneth (September) so sometime during the month of Yavannie (July) was when Priestess told her to expect. Sineliniel had Fluffy move her favorite chair in front of the fireplace and then dismissed him for the evening. Sineliniel looked at her magical robe hanging on the stand near the door. "I will not be travelling about the lands of Norrath for some time." She thought to herself. "At least not until Myrikel goes to the Temple of Marr for her training there." Mother and Aunt Marial gave Sineliniel plenty of space in the evenings so that she could enjoy some time alone with Gilliadson. A slight chill swept across Sineliniel's body and it was quickly banished by the flames of the fireplace. "Tunare be with you Lady Jetamio."

Narie (June) arrived, Marial and Elanil were making preparations for the arrival of their granddaughter. Sineliniel was more home bound now as being in her ninth quarter-season. Evenings were spent cuddled up with Gilliadson while her days were a bustle of activity around her though she was not able to take part in much of it. Linella arrived from Surefall Glade and offered her services to midwife. Sineliniel could not think of a better choice than the granddaughter of the one who helped bring three generations of Shadowbanes into the world. The days and evenings were getting warmer. The shade of the old oak outside the window kept Sineliniel's room cool enough to be bearable. Sineliniel knew that once this child was old enough to wield her blade that she would be her Father's Daughter but that would not discount the special bond that she felt with her child now. Myrikel would learn balance from her Mother long before she learned the arts of combat and healing from her Father and the Temple of Marr.
"Bondings such as yours and Gilliadson's rarely produce children. Those that do are very blessed indeed." The words from Marial replayed in her mind from when Sineliniel asked why she and Sir Gilliad never had any children of their own. "Gilliadson has been a son to me just as if I had birthed him myself. I will always treasure him."
"As will I Aunt Marial, as will I."

Narie was drawing to a close. Sindera had arrived and was training in Citadel. From what her instructor had said, the young lady would be a great Wizardess one day. The days were getting quite warm and the nights were now too warm for a fire. It was now the usual quiet time. The time after Mother, Aunt Marial and Linella left Sineliniel for the day and before Gilliadson returned home. Gilliadson knew the time was getting close and had Zeph quartered in the house to be sent to him if he should be away when the time came. Sineliniel sat in her favorite chair and softly sang to Myrikel. The love Sineliniel felt for this child and those around her had grown more with each passing day. The baby moved while Sineliniel sang. On the stand in the corner was Myrikel's first sword and shield. It would be a few circles before she would be able to hold them.
What will she look like?

Being her first child, the Elementalist knew not what exactly to expect when the time actually came. The first wave of discomfort came and passed quickly. Sineliniel shrugged it off and went back to sleep. The next one came a little stronger. Sineliniel knew then that something was happening. The Koada`Dal rolled over and gently shook her husband awake.
"I think it is time, Leofa."
