"Your Majesty, I have completed my service to Felwithe and it is time for me to seek to restore my family's land in the Commonlands." Gilliadson said as he reverently bowed before King Tearis Thex. "If you ever need my blade, send for me and I will come."

"Sir Gilliadson, you have served us faithfully all of your life. Be well and may the Blessed Mother smile upon your endeavors. I understand that Sineliniel will be staying here for a little while yet?"

"Yes Sire. The task set before me is quite dangerous and I will not risk my daughter losing both parents. If I should fail, Sineliniel knows Myrikel's destiny and will present her to the Temple of Marr when the time comes."

"If you need any assistance from us do let me know."

"Sire, it is best that this be handled by myself and a few adventurers so as not to cause any strife between your kingdom and the people of Freeport. However, thank you for the offer."

"As you wish Sir Gilliadson. You are hereby released from all duties to this kingdom and are free to follow your heart withersoever it leads."

Gilliadson bowed again and was about to leave when King Thex rose, walked over to the Human and clasped hands with him.

The two smiled and Gilliadson left the throne room.

"I think he will succeed, Tearis." Said the Koada`Dal Female.

"I hope he does, Marial." Replied the King.

"Before you can receive my blessing on this course you have set yourself on, you must prove that you are up to the task." Said Valeron Dushire as the knight humbly knelt before him.

Gilliadson rose to his feet and looked Valeron in the eye. "What must I do?"

"Scattered around Norrath there are two artifacts and some bones that belonged to a great Knight of Marr. You must find these items and prepare them for a proper funeral service and be a witness of the same."

"What is the name of this great knight?"

"Sir Darak Lightforge. Your first piece is in Beholder's Maze, held by a Dwarf there. On of our other knights saw it and reported it to me. All the Dwarf asked for was a new Pick and two bottles of Dwarven Ale."

"Very well then I will start with him. My friend Zeph is well versed in lore if you will grant him access to our library, he may be able to assist me in locating the other items."

"Send him to us then."

"As you wish." Gilliadson saluted the High Paladin. "Praise be to Marr."

"Praise be to Marr." Replied Valeron. Gilliadson left the Hall of Truth and secretly made his way out of the city.

Gilliadson found the Bard in the house in Surefall Glade and sent him the Hall of Truth to begin his research. The Knight then rode out to the Guild home in East Karana. Gilliadson found Linella and sent her to Kaladim to fetch the Ale and the Pick for him. Linella returned within the hour with the requested items.

"I must prove myself to be up to the task before Sir Valeron will grant me his blessing. I will not take on D'Lere without it." Said Gilliadson to his wife as she rocked their daughter to sleep in her cradle.
