A new Guild in the making...

All in OOC mode :

I have had an idea for a few months now that I want to try. I have removed Xar'zith from Dalharen for reasons both ooc and RP. I am going to make a guild. I have not yet decided wether I am going to make a brand new guild (which means thinknig of a name lol :roll: ) or take up the offer of rebuilding an old RP guild.

Xar'zith would be Leader and the basic outline of the guild will be such;

It will be open to all, regardless of race, class, or level, so long as they RP. Our aim would be to unite against the bigger threats to Norrath as a whole instead of fighting each other.

Guild chat will be the Common Room, a place to gather to exchange stories, do adventures/groups. They'll be free to hurl insults at each other if it pleases them but there will be no physical conflict permitted, other than friendly spars in the arena of course. (Obviously I will not allow insults to go to ooc level)

Both good and evil 'side' will have their own area both in game in form of a channel, and on the forums as a subforum. The rules will be a little more relaxed in these sections, if the evils want to torture bunnies or whatever they can do so in the privacy of their own dungeons. Xarzith does not agree in slavery so will not allow rothes, but servants are allowed so long as they are paid/treated with respect. For example a Knight may have a Squire if he wishes. Some players genuinely like to play the submissive servant :shock:

There are some neutral RP'ers out there, Xar'zith herself is more of that notion. Most do tend to lean one way or another though so may choose wether to join the evil side or the good side. If there are enough neutrals I will make them their own area too.

Neither faction will have access to the other outside of the common room unless invited by a member of the opposite faction.

If raiding is wished, members will be free to guest with raiding guilds or join a raiding alliance of their choice. I might also apply to a raiding alliance as a guild. Should we happen to grow enough in numbers and desire to raid as a guild, I may review this. Members of other RP guilds would be welcome to raid with us if they desire, for example I may invite both Wolf Cult and Dalharen d'Phlith to raid with us and hope they can get along without killing each other long enough to kill a big nasty :)

RP conflicts with other guilds may be possible if the Leadership of both guilds agree to such an event. However it is my intent to concentrate more on threats to us all rather than pick a fight with other guilds.

So erm yeah, that's my plan. :roll:

You will not need a neutral channel. Guild chat is one form, and being truly neutral would mean having the patience to get along with whomever you wish regardless of their preference of love or hate. As such, neutrals can work to join both channels, and therefore will not need their own. If you feel there should be a channel for everyone, then don't forget Guild, as I mentioned earlier. Pick a good name and I'm in. I've been looking for a solid, neutral RP home for quite some time... though granted I can be fairly quiet.

I don't expect it to be an issue, but I'm not a raider and won't bend my schedule around raids. Should you have the guild join a raiding alliance, please don't make the raids mandatory.

Also, do try to have this done as soon as possible; the Autumn Festival would be a great place for All roleplaying guilds to recruit un-tagged RP-ers.

Oh the raids would never be mandatory, I neglected to mention that. Thats why I said I wouldnt make guild raids unless there was enough desire to do so from the guild.

As for the Autumn Festival, unless its a Monday or a Wednesday I highly doubt I will be able to go :(

The Festival falls on this Saturday (two days from now... starting at noon CST, and will last for many hours... so if you can get on at all, you may be able to catch us!) :)

All of my characters are guilded but I think I can bring two for you... one from each account to help you get started... I will talk with the leader of Soul Destiny and let him decide which of my two he would like to keep and I will pull the lower character from House Illumine on the other account. That would give you two of the ten that you need to get started other than yourself... Just let me know if and when you get your tag granted. Last I remember, you have 30 days to get your ten but it's not that big of a deal any more it seems... I have a guild on Tunare that only has 4 members and it's been that way for a long time. My cousin now has a DE Rogue as well so there is another possible member.

Yeah, Sony dont really care anymore on guild size, but I have a small arsenal of accounts at my disposal should I need them anyway.
