Good day to all,
As often mentioned before, please find
here the link to the creation of a new guild discussion and the proposed charter (to be discussed).
Let me know on there any comment you have or, if interested in joining, of your interest - and of any remark you would have on the charter.

Good luck with it, I tried to do this twice and no one would do it.

Well, I admit that before thinking about it, I consulted many people, starting with all the Sisters - and the Sisters are massively contemplating joining - that idea stems from a longer internal debate, the best short, mid and long term solution to which is that idea. The core trouble is partly the extended absence of our Leader for years, so we are stuck with no ability to name officers or bankers.
So I believe at least all the Sisters will join, and I am hoping for many others as well...

As did I, yourself included, and many expressed interest but when I actually then went and applied for the guild no one backed me up. But perhaps you will have better results than I.

Why start a new guild when we have several very good "good guilds"?. Lets just all pick one and then worry about the charter stuff

Good day Stormfollower (and everyone wondering about the same),
That follows an lengthy internal discussion (I broached the matter a year and something ago now) about the Siblings and with several others who expressed similar feelings.
One of the main reasons is that some of our guilds have a lot of history and traditions (as an example, the Circle of Sisters was founded in 2001, not long after ther server was created) and thus, for all to join an existing guild would mean that we would all adopt existing practices, beliefs and charter (for a guild is defined by its charter first and foremost, we all believe, and not only by individuls and deeds since those tend to change over time), and there is the trouble:
there is no existing guild that has the charter we would all feel belonging to. We all have our specificities, and holding dear to them, our core values, requirements, hopes and expectations.
As an example, the House Illumine, who shares values many think identical to ours, was founded by two applicants to the Circle of Sisters, for not only do they felt there was something More for them to require from applicants, but there was also a longing for responsibilities - the will to lead rather than just belong (which is quite human for many).
So, rather than having several feeling like grafts (more or less successfully) in a guild, the spirit of which they do not entirely and whole heartedly share, trying to create one that would embody what we all (the ones willing to join) seek was decided to be the best way. Building together, involving volunteers to shape and nurture, to help create a Haven and Hearth for them.
Thus the current situation...
And we remain hopeful to create something !
