Relevant Quests for Alliance members...?

Good evening everyone,
I know that I am hardly posting on the board (for many reasons, but not the lack of will to), but following a conversation I had with Faelian's player recently, I thought it may be of interest to try and track places, and quests, that Alliance Members, of all ages - but especially young ones - could adventure in, or carry out, that would be fitting for roleplaying reasons.
It is not about hotzones, impressive experience, shining coins or anything like that - but it *is* about places a young Paladin of the Mother of All, or a Priestess of the Queen of Love, will visit - to learn about lore and quests to carry out deeds, to right wrongs and cleanse the lands.
Not all of us have been playing for five years or more and know all about the intricacies and subtilities of the countless quests that have been implemented in the game since its creation.
So... My first question, before posting anything, would be :
Do you believe that is a topic/trend that can benefit several - who knows, maybe even not yet members of the Alliance, a kind of guide to the game ?
Or do you believe it is pointless and useless, and that adventuring wherever your steps take you is enough ?
I am awaiting your kind reactions before adding my own experience on that matter...
Thank you in advance,
Elianeth's player

Oh Eli! I think something like this would be wonderful! And I would love to help in anyway I can on the drakkin/Veeshan quests. I've manage to figure out a great many of them on my own, and there are several more that you've told me about that I didn't know beforehand.
But I definitely think that this would be an excellent resource! *hugs*

Sounds good to me, I have played for almost 4 years but don;t know some of the older lore, just the newer stuff. Good idea!

Fantastic idea! , I have only played for 2 years and find myself lost in some of the conversations about quests and lore that some of the "older" players take for granted, It would be wonderfull if we could all run the gambit of quests that would enhance or sence of being "good"
*cheers Elianeth*

Well, you already know how excited I am about the idea...

There is SO much lore out there, and quest info, and the only place that distills it down to class or whatnot makes you have a paid account to view such information.
Just last night, I was hunting on the beach at Gunthak, and someone sent me a message asking if I needed some certain item. I replied, "I don't think so... should I?" They said that "item x" was part of some Paladin quest. I felt really stupid.

I can't figure out how people even know this stuff!
Any info you can compile, Eli, will be awesome, and I will be eternally grateful.
*hugs*

I think it's a great idea! I get a lot of fun out of helping people do RP quests. Certainly of recent we've tried to get the 50+ crowd into the Norrath's Keepers factions. Nevermind the fact that I accidentally led us in a Dark Reign adventure instead...

But by all means if there's a special item or quest that, RP-wise, is within the Alliance, call for assistance!
Troubles around Katta Castellum...

One of the first Quests I would like to mention is one dear to my heart - as Baroness of Katta and of the Tenebrous Mountains, as well as a Servant of the Mother of All, who abhors and loathes necromancy over all.
((40+ advised, or with a few friends, Shadows of Luclin required))
Saumeem Unja, a resident of Katta Castellum and Governor of Defense is in need of much help : a matter of internal trouble, threat to the safety of our citizens is the Coterie of the Eternal Night and their assassins, and of a matter of outside disruption involving... necromancy.
Both are quite suited for Paladins who wish to help Katta battle Necromancy and the influence of Vampyres !
Seek him on the second floor of the Katta Castellum Church, just outside the graveyard... you will soon find out why there (The entrance to the building is at loc minus 8, minus 1804).
Of course, you may have to prove yourself worthy of his attention before doing so - battling the Vampyres in the Tenebrous Mountains can help...
Should anyone be interested in further helping the poor citizens of Katta, I will tell you a bit more about them and how to do so...
Investigating troubles and corruptions in Qeynos...

Another quest I carried out was for a friend of Aenna, Vegalys Keldrane. He has the duty of apprehending the individuals responsible for unleashing a terrible plague upon the people and the lands of Antonius Bayle.
He needs as much help as one can muster, and is found in North Qeynos, in the building over the main gate.
((Season 10+ recommended, first part of a 6 part quest, the last one being 50+ and a strong group recommended)).
Soon will you find out the extent of the corruption and plague.. above the ground and under it, in the sewers... Everything for a Paladin or a Cleric of the Marrs or of Rodcet Nife : undead, diseases, taints, a bit of briberies, dubious guards and eventually... a large scaled assault involving a bit of strategy !
Bloodsabers, you will pay !

Eli, you ROCK. Thanks so much for the quests! Now I have something to do!!
Quick question, though... because I understand ingame faction stuff as much as I understand RL politics crap. Since the first quest has to do with Combine and Inquisition stuff, will doing any part of this quest make it so that I can't go into Sanctus Seru?? Because that is one of my very favorite places in Norrath, and I would be heartbroken if I suddenly became KOS there. =/
Thanks again for the quests, and any faction info you can give me!
*hugs*
Vampyres Troubles - added information and faction

Good day Faelian !
I am sorry to say it will, yes... Katta and the Seru have been opponents since the founding of Katta and the.. er... *ponders how much to disclose* Let me know if you would like to find out more about the reasons of such hatred - but I am sorry to say you will have a hard time befriending both.
On the other hand, after a good thousand vampyres slain all over the Tenebrous Mountains, I am not yet *much* disliked among Seru, so you can easily complete that quest - and a few more about Vampyre troubles without running any risk in the Seru.
However... even if not giving out mysteries and secrets about Katta and the Seru, though t'is hardly a secret, I have to tell you that the Seru are not exactly... kind.. and gentle people...
There are many, many factions in Katta - and a few in the Seru... but helping solve the Vampyres Troubles is likely to make you liked all over Katta - and kill undeads ! - and loathed in the Seru, the commonfolk as well as the guards... and the Vampyres of course. That may tell you a few things about the Seru...
Seek me should you need more knowledge about Katta and its history !

Oh, I know the Seru are not a warm and friendly people... and that the Inquisition was/is a terrible thing. It is not the people I am so enamored with -- it is just the city itself. It is so nice to just lie in one of the parks and listen to the birds and watch the clouds go by... and the arena is magnificent!! And then there is the beautiful marble gazebo-type area... I *will* be married there someday.
Thank you again for the information! I do desperately want to help as much as possible in eradicating the vampyres... and I don't mind being on the slightly bad side of the Seru. I just want to still be able to walk through the city, if I can.
The first mention of Valdanov Zefveer...

I confess sharing different feelings about the city - but that may be from my Fier'Dalish upbringing rather than Koada'Dalish one...
Once you have tried your might against the first Vampyres of the Tenebrous Mountains, we shall speak of.. Valdanov Zefveer, and the corruption he is spreading...
I shall give you some other leads about other adventures fairly soon !
Prayers in the Gulf of Gunthak...

There is a Knight of the Deep, and Erudite called Millius Darkwater, in the Gulf of Gunthak, that can help you learn new Prayers, should you help him...
He seems he had lost.. many.. souls in the surroundings, and will be honored to teach you new Prayers.. if you can provide him with information.
He usually watches the crashing of waves by the Lighthouse...

In the dawnshroud peaks there are a pair of quarrelsome Feir'dal who are trying to put a stop to beasts that are savagely shredding trees in the area...rockhoppers i believe....they would appreciate help..if you can get them to stop fighting long enough to listen
The Giant clans have established a strong foothold in the wakening lands. Speak to serval of the prominent guardians in the Plane of Growth and one wil find that the scourge threatens the sanctuary itself! Apparently the Giants want to claim Tunare's abode as well as Karana's.

In the northern portion of the Kithicor Forest, not far from the cave that leads north to Rivervale, is a camp of rangers. Among them is Morin, a trainer, who rewards a brave ranger for helping in the fight with the orcs. Others in the camp will craft gear called "Ivy Etched" for visiting various regions and furthering the cause of the rangers. My father, Auldian of Druzzil, completed some of this work as a ranger in his 20s and 30s.
He and I both learned much by doing a series of quests to earn our epic blades, Earthcaller and Swiftwind. It took us to many lands, as it began in the Burning Woods of Kunark and even had us face the soldiers of Innoruuk in the Plane of Hate.
The Wayfarers' Brotherhood has camps in the Commonlands, North Ro, South Ro, Everfrost, and Butcherblock. They have done much in the way of lore research. Working with them to further their understanding, by doing their missions, will encourage them to open up with tales of Norrath from Mistmoore to the birth of the Elves and much more.
