Rakana didn't argue about the presence of her pet when asked to dismiss it, and she quickly did so. After she was led to the Estate, she spent that first evening merely listening to the story of the Shadowbanes, having many of her questions about the family answered.

Unsurprisingly, she didn't find many of the guests to enjoy her company. Either her obvious profession or her race seemed to drive them off. When the guests were assembled in the Grand Hall to greet the returning couple, she couldn't help but start to feel nervous about the meeting. Her tongue flicked out more than normal, tail lashed about. The obviously agitated Iksar was given a rather wide berth as she awaited the arrival of the two. When they finally arrived, she could hardly find it in herself to give a greetings. She had to turn away, rubbing her scaled throat to clear it from the nervous lump that had formed within.

When they entered the Hall, Myrikel walked over to Rakana.

"It will be well, Rakana. Do not be afraid or ashamed. You are still the same creature they met, just with different talents." Myrikel smiled warmly.

Rakana shut her eyes as she listened to Myrikel, the Iksar calming herself. She gave a small smile to the daughter of the Paladin and Summoner.

"Wise wordsss. Thank you, Lady Myrikel. I will keep them in mind" she replied before she started towards the couple. With a small intake of breath, she put on a toothy smile for the Shadowbanes.

"Finally back, hmm? What took you so long?" she said with a playful flicker of her tail in Sineliniel's and Gilliadson's direction.

Sineliniel looked at the Iksar for a moment.

"Rakana? Is that you under that Necromancer's Robe? If that is your idea of humor, I do not think it funny. But it is good to see you again!"

Gilliadson looked at Rakana with a puzzled expression.

"Change of profession? Well not what M'Lady or I would have chosen, but your heart is still the same. Welcome to our home, nonetheless."

Gilliadson smiled when he saw the smile on Myrikel's face and understood.

"Regardless of your profession, you are our friend and are welccome in our home."

The lizard woman gave the Summoner an apologetic look. No doubt it was a decision she didn't make lightly.

"I'm glad to see you both too, and in one piece. You two are..." Rakana started, then leaned in towards the two and whispered. "My only true friendsss..."

The Iksar then gave a nonchalant flick of her tail, trying to regain her previous relaxed air.

"We can discusss my profession choice later, if you want. For now, you two should enjoy your homecoming. I'm honored that you think of me so highly..." the Iksar finished, looking distinctly uncomfortable at spilling her feelings around so many onlookers.

Sineliniel spotted her Aunt and recognized the Koada`Dal she was with.
The Sapphire-eyed Lady leaned to her husband and softly whipsered in his ear.

"Leofa, your Shelera is here and it looks like she brought King Thex with her. Discretion is probably key since he is probably here secretly." Sineliniel turned back to Rakana. We certainly shall discuss your choice of profession later my friend. For now please to make yourself at home. People will begin to warm up to you if you continue to stay with my daughter. She has garnered a reputation of knowing hearts." Sineliniel cast a knowing glance at her daughter and smiled. "There is someone we must go greet." The Elementalist kissed Rakana on her cheek and a fiery shield enveloped the young Iksar.

Sineliniel took her husband's hand as he led them toward Lady Marial and her companion.

Upon reaching the couple, Sineliniel kissed Mariel's cheek and whispered to her.

"Are we to acknowledge his position?"

"He is here to honor you and your husband. For now, he is my friend rather than our liege."

Sineliniel nodded knowingly and turned to the Koada`Dal King.

"It is good to meet you M'Lord." Sineliniel kissed the king on the cheek and a fiery shield enveloped him. Sineliniel smiled.

Gilliadson clasped hands with King Thex and greeted him as an equal.

"Welcome to our home, sir. A friend of my Shelera is a friend of mine. Please make yourself at home here."

The king smiled as he returned the greeting.

"Thank you both and welcome home."

Gilliadson kissed Lady Marial's cheeks in greeting before they moved on to other guests.

Gilliadson spotted a familliar Druidess and led his wife toward her.

Jetamio stayed back to allow the family members to greet them first. Cionaodh stayed practically glued to her side, not really knowing many here and curious at her mothers behaviour. She knew her mother to be reserved around crowds, but she had never seen her look so nervous. For a moment the young woman regretted coercing her into a gown, but she didn't think it was entirely down to her fine attire.

The Druid was watching King Thex as subtley as she could while also trying to be inconspicious without actually casting an invisibility spell. She wasn't sure if he would recognise her, or even remember her. She had had a crush on him in her youth, and knew that he was one of the few people here that was older than she. The last time she had seen him she had also been dressed in such finery when she had been given Leadership of her House. It was so long ago now, but he had hardly changed at all. Her thoughts were interrupted by a sharp nudge from her daughter as someone approached them.

Gilliadson almost did not recognize Jetamio in the fine gown, knowing her preference for more casual clothing. The Knight was quite suprised.

Sineliniel sensed Jetamio's discomfort at being in the gown but her Dal instincts detected something else in the ancient druidess' demeanor. Now was not the time to press on the issue though.

"Welcome Lady Jetamio!" Said the Elementalist as she kissed the Druidess' cheek and enveloped her in a fiery shield. "And welcome to you as well Cionaodh!" Sineliniel repeated her customary greeting with the young wizardess.

Gilliadson smiled brightly and bowed to the two ladies.

"Yes, welcome to our home. It is good to see you again. I do not see your husband, Lady Jetamio. I do hope he is planning on attending the celebration. Willanaome has dispatched bards to seek out those of our friends who are not yet present. You are more than welcome to stay here as long as you wish after the celebration. Our home is always open to you and yours."

Sineliniel nodded in agreement.

"The gown looks quite lovely on you, though you really did not have to be in formal attire for us." Said the Elementalist. "The only ones that were required to be in formal attire were the Shadowbane Knights since we had a little changing of lordship ceremony outside before we came in."

"If you need anything at all while you are here, please let us know. Willanaome tells me that the garden behind the house is quite impressive, if you need a place to feel more at ease." Gilliadson smiled. "I think she designed it herself. I will see it later myself."

Rakana rubbed the spot where the Summoner had kissed her cheek, then gave a hiss-chuckle followed by a sigh.

The Iksar turned to Myrikel, and grinned.

"It seemsss I'm due for a clawing by your lovely Mother. I suppose I deserve it , from her point of view. Hmm, if thisss were Cabilisss, she would not wait until later."

Myrikel looked at the lady Iksar.

"Mother was only slightly disappointed but that was to be expected. She knows your heart as do I. She knows that your people are limited in what they know of the arcane arts. She will not be harsh with you and this is certainly not Cabilis." Myrikel looked in the direction that her parents had wandered off in and saw Cionaodh and Jetamio. "Let us go join a couple of people more familliar to you." Myrikel smiled brightly.

Stormfollower entered the hall and smiled wide. What a grand celebration this was!
He gave his trail worn cloak to an attending servant with a low bow. "Thank you kindly sir, that is good of you" he said.
"Of course Lord Stormfollower," He replied somewhat surprised. "You have been expected, please make yourself at home."
The tall shaman scanned the crowd and was pleased to see so many different faces. It seamed the Shadowbanes had quite allot of friends from far flung places. He marveled at the majestry of thier new home and took some time to study the finer points of the excelent masonry. Apon seeing his hosts in the throng he carefully picked his way through towards them. He smiled and waved when he caught Jetamios eye.

Sineliniel's keen ears picked up the heavy Halasian footfalls on the hardwood floor behind her and turned to see the familliar face of Stormfollower approaching them.

"He made it Leofa!" Exclaimed the Elementalist.

Gilliadson spun around to see the Shaman approaching and smiled widely.

Jetamio sensed his arrival and scanned the crowds for him. Sure enough there he was, a good bit taller than everyone there. She jumped up to wave back, but didnt realise she was standing on her dress and heard a sickening riiiiiiiiiip! She blushed furiously as she looked down and saw the rip and cursed in such an old dialect of Elvish that most would not know the word. She sighed and decided to ignore it, instead smiling at her husbands approach.

"Good vistas all!" He boomed throwing his arms out wide. "What comfort comes to see you all in so fine a forum and fine in form." He smiles wrly at Jetamio and glances with obviouse aproval at the exposed calf and split seam dress she models so perfectly before sweaping both her and Cionaodh up in his arms. His adoration of them poured unabashedly forth for all to see.

The Iksar found the young Paladin's smile to be infectious, and she soon returned that smile.

"Alright...let usss do so..." she replied, soon snatching up a drink from a nearby table with her tail as she passed. She crossed her arms in front of her as she sipped the drink.

The female was mid-way through a particularly long gulp of her refreshment when a loud softskin voice cut through the air. She barely held onto her glass as she jumped to alert, gagging on the drink she had inhaled. She leaned down, coughing up the remnants of her drink. When she finished, she had a sour look on her face as she looked to the offender, tail lashing about.

"....who isss that....loud softskin?" she asked, trying to calm herself down. After all, that person could very well be someone close to the Shadowbanes.
