Hey now Jet! Your missing the point or perhaps more correctly I am not making it well. Its not cross server tells or alts themselves I dissagree with. Its the people who strike up a conversation, then half way into it you respond to it and without them telling you they are AFK you have to wait 10 minutes before they respond again. At least when your in a chat with someone,((Or anyone in the alliance chat channel for that matter)) you are dilligent in that chat and respond emmediately to peoples questions. I am just tired of sitting around like an idiot waiting for someone to respond only to find they have logged off or switched to an alt without so much as a see ya later, guess I am just not used to being ignored. I have nothing against people having alts, its just those people who figure thier time is somehow more important that the person on the other end of the conversations. they switch alts and suddenly your no longer talking to them anymore. Hope thats more clear.

Different styles, big tent - that is my unofficial modus operandi for the Alliance.
I did not necessarily see the candlealliance chat channel as a roleplay forum, although people are free to use it as one of course. Originally my intent was simply to use it as an ooc collection place for good-side roleplayers to self-identify, as not everyone has everyone else on their friends list, as the network continues to hopefully expand. Hence, if I see a character online there that I want to roleplay with, often (relatively to how infrequently I log on these days...) I will get together with them at a common location to roleplay - characters Elianeth and Licinia have in the past gone together to roleplay in zones like Felwithe, or the Plane of Growth, after "meeting up" in the channel. So for that purpose alone I hope you will stay (or at least lurk) in channel, Storm; keep it ooc if you want.

It is whatever you (collectively) want to use it for - so long as what you use it for promotes RP. Be that an OOC tool to find avenues to RP - or RP chat - or whatever - I do not think there are so many of us that it is in danger of flooding with spamJetamio wrote:Lol, I thought it was an RP channel so guess I'm a donkey too!
