Re: O Canada
Chasing the Scottish heritage?
Re: O Canada
No, we're building 6 new stores there. Apparently the next awards ceremony is in Montreal, think I am going to it if you're anywhere near there...
Re: O Canada
So... we went from Penticton BC to Winnipeg MB in 22 hours, taking shifts driving with only stops for gas. Then 4 days in Ontario at a more relaxed pace, a day from Toronto to Fredericton (complete with sunburn down one arm...) and finally Halifax the next day. So here is my mini analysis of Canada (minus the Northern provinces
)
BC - rocks
Alberta - First half was nice, second half consisted of the longest, straightest, flattest road I've ever seen or driven on.
Saskatchewan - Unfortunately I gave my dog away before I moved, so couldn't test the theory of watching your dog run away for miles. I drove this part, in the dark mostly, but the Northern Lights kept me company
(Yes, in July...
). By the way, what do they actually grow here, I only saw grass, grass and erm, grass.
Manitoba - Same as Sask, but with trees.
Ontario - Almost as soon as you cross the border, the flatlands turn into rocks and lakes, and of course more trees, even some growing out of rocks
. Oh and a measley 90km/h speed limit. Canada's Wonderland was fun though!
Quebec - Yeah uhm....those bridges in Montreal are scary. I am curious as to why the rest of Canada is to have bilingual signs, while in Quebec the signs are only in French the whole way. Just as some Quebec'ers don't speak English, alot of the rest of the country don't know French. We were lucky I learned French at school lol.
New Brunswick - I don't think it actually stopped raining the whole way through.
Nova Scotia - Wet, (but not as wet as NB) and exactly what I expected of a place named after Scotland lol. The lovely misty rain that gets you wet without realizing it was amusing...the others haven't seen this kind of rain haha.
