She dismounted, and dispelled the levitation charm she had used, much to her horses relief. She greeted both her parents with a kiss upon each cheek, before turning to her father with a grave expression.

"Remis is alive Father... I found him, and tried to help him but he... he..." she broke off, unable to condemn her own brother. Instead, she dug in her pack for the note and box that she had found in the room and handed it to Stormfollower rather hesitantly...she did not trust it not to have some kind of enchantment on it. "Be careful Father... I know not what he did to this."

Stormfollower read the note...
A gift for you father. So you may see what you could not before.

He then opened the small ring box and there, to his horror was the fresh plucked right eye of Remis.

Radha visibly paled, and even Jetamio grimaced.

"I didn't see him do that! He must have done it before I woke up." Radha exclaimed, feeling terrible at having brought her father the gruesome 'gift'. She would never have done so if she had looked inside.

"In his dream, he did horrible things... I know you hate gnolls Father, but he tortured them. He tried to make me go into an underground fort..." she broke off, remembering that the gnolls had changed into her parents and didn't want to voice what she thought that meant.

He looked at the bloody eye for a long time, there was no doubt it was his sons. He tried to imagine how it would be possible for anyone to tear there own eye from its socket but boggled at the concept. He closed the box sharply and put it away in a pouch.

"We will find him" Stormfollower grabbed hold of his daughter and wife and clutched them close.

"We will find him and bring him home." He rocked them slowly for a while, hugging them quietly then broke off heading to the bow of the ship. There he stood looking up to the skies, studying them intently. He called the clouds by name and asked them their intentions.

"The boy has gone into the sewers of Qeynos but there are too many ways out of that place and the halls are filled with informants and worse. He would slip away if we entered there. We must somehow draw him out."

A flock of seagulls flew over the forest and past their ship. The wind was steady from the east but they were in the lee of the island and would need to get further away before the sails would catch. Stormfollower unstrapped the single great oar from its hold and put it off the rear of the Goblin Queen secure in its oarlock. He returned to bow and hauled in the anchor then back to the stern where he began to scull them out into some wind.

"Remis my son, what has become of you? Was my shadow so large? Could you not confide in your family?" The shaman shook his head and sculled the boat. His strong shoulders pushed them at a good pace even against the rising tide.

"Raise the main" He called when they were far enough into the wind. But the words brought the sharp pain of the image of a young Remis rushing to the halyards to take up the heavy task in his small hands.

Gilliadson set about assisting with raising the main sails while Sineliniel sat with P`Nala and Myrikel.

Jetamio thought silently for a while as she watched the others deal with all the ship details that baffled her. When they were finally underway and settled, she approached her husband.

"What is it that he craves to you think? How can we draw him out?" She trialed off, not voicing the fact that she thought Tajer might be able to find him easier in the Catacombs. She knew his feelings were mixed about her granddaughter and she didn't want to push the matter.

Stormfollower steered the ship towards Qeynos. He looked up at the clouds so frequently that when he finally answered Jetamio it seamed perhaps as if he were divining his answer from them.

"Remis has revealed his hidden mind to me through the contact we had while he controlled me in the dream. I did not understand it`s rambling insanities or their implications back then, but I think I am beginning to now...
He wishes to replace me...
He seeks to be me in some strange way....
to lead Wolf Cult down some deranged path to a destruction he believes is both necessary and inevitable.
In his mind he and I are already the same person but the half which I am stands between him and his goals. In a way he seeks his own destruction and has embraced the ways of the rot god to justify his desires. He will not be satisfied until he has brought our whole clan to an evil end."

He thought for a moment stroking his dark beard, briefly revealing a single gray hair.

"To lure him out we would need to convince him he had some opportunity to achieve my destruction. He is smart though and will not be fooled easily... The jaguar guardians of the island said I must seek out the Raventear tribe. Perhaps through them will we be able to confront him again. Upon reaching landfall I plan to head by way of the Magus to seek them out."

Jetamio simply nodded. The only Raventear she had ever met was her guardian Celene, but she had not heard hide nor hair from her in a very long time. But she would trust in Stormfollower's judgement.
