Re: A Quest for Humanity
Gilliadson and Myrikel's Holy Blades glow brightly as the two Knights of the Marr Twins grip their hilts tightly preparing for the onslaught. Fluffy takes a protective position in front of his Mistress as she prepares to call upon the destructive forces of the elements at her command. P`Nala pushes her will outward seeking the minds of the enemies to vex them with her wiles. Willanaome calls upon the wrath of Karana in the form of one of his great thunderstorms overhead. Lithian takes on an ethereal form as she circles high above watching the scene below.

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Radha looked at her father in astonishment! Why had he never told them? Or maybe Remis already knew, and it was just she who had not known. Or perhaps because she had shown no outward sign of the ability til now, both had assumed she was not affected.
She sensed the ancient tribe stirring to come to her fathers call, but remained silent herself. She was too unsure.

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Gilliadson calls out to those under his command.
"This battle is between Remis and Stormfollower. Our job will be to keep any who wish to interfere from doing so and to keep the other enemies from reaching this cave."
Gilliadson turns to the great Shaman.
"If the battle is not to be here then lead us on. We are as prepared as we shall be."

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Jetamio signalled another woman to come and watch over the children while she went to join the others. She touched Radha's arm to let her know she was there for her. The Paladin smiled faintly at her mother, before eying up Tajer, who had followed Jetamio. Her expression showed her distrust, but she had more pressing things to worry about than her strange relative.
Jetamio moved to Stormfollower's side, her mind wondering why their youngest son could hate his father so. Remis had not shown much hostility to her, but that did not make her feel safe either.
"Is there something I can do?"

Zotreth watches as Remis makes his way toward the Shaman. Knowing what was to be, he called upon the aid of his Dark Gods and stepped into a dark path of hate which transports him directly in front of the House Illumine's members. With a malicious grin, he draws his sword and raises it into the air.
"Do not interfere with the battle to be. These numbers do not disturb me, your magic is nothing compared to the one-thousand Sages I have at my disposal. Allow the one named Remis to confront his Father. We shall see who wins this one."

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Cerissa watched as Remis led way towards Stormfollower, her yellow glowing eyes filled with the hatred and fear of her birthright. One hand on the pendant she slides the other over Remis’ corpse still lying beneath the deck of the funeral barge where she remains. “Soon.” she whispers, “Soon.” Knowing that Remis could feel her touch in his temporary puppet form the grin of The Fathers children broadens as she turns her nails inward against the flesh of the corpse. Dragging her nails along his body she touches his human face with an amazing tenderness unknown to many in her care.
Closing her eyes thoughts roam to Rixcis providing instruction for his men. Quickly the crew follows their leader from their boat behind Remis the puppet. Scores of other boats appear in the bay as the shadows are dropped, an army enlisted to aid Remis in the conquest of his father ready themselves and also make their way to the shore. They had heard and understand the command of Zotreth, and were instructed to be obedient to his commands. The numbers of dark soldiers, physical and mind commanders, living and dead alike are placed strategically. Rixcis stands by Cerissa, always faithful in his protection of her. His second stands behind Zotreth, a blue hand covered in armor on his blade.
Tension fills the air from all beings as they stand before each other their weapons and consciences readied for battle should the agreement to allow father and son their dispute to be settled by them alone. Even those entrapped within the fabric of her many layered robes stir in anticipation around their Mistress’ body. Raw emotions from all forms reach their way to the Dark Mistress and are readily absorbed into Cerissa’s very being. A soft gasp of pleasure escapes past her lips as the heightened emotions begin to feed Deaths Daughter. Her head rolls back slightly as the victual enters her soul twisting and contorting into the warped power used by only the darkest of hearts.
Blue fingers trail down the neck to the chest of the corpse where a dark aura surrounds her hand before seeping into the flesh of the corpse. She begins releasing the power of loathing in miniscule amounts directly into the dead heart. Obedient to the power of the darkness the heart jumps once bringing a sickly happy smile to her face. “Not yet,,,, soon.” she whispers then sighs once more as raw emotions continue to feed her.

Gilliadson's Blade glows brightly in his clenched hand.
"That is our intent as well. We shall not allow your people to interfere in this battle either so begone back to your dark hole where you belong!"
((Gilliadson and Co are not part of House Illumine... ))

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Stormfollower paid no heed to the apearance of Zotreth nor to his drawing of his blade. He stood his ground knowing Brag may be a good dog he also knew that Holdfast was better.
The moans of the dead now reached thier ears. An unholy chorus of misery and lament reached into each of thier hearts threatening to wrench thier souls into the otherworldly whirlwind of emotions. Counting out the beat of thier dirge the sceletal presession rattled and creaked as they mindlesly followed the ghosts.
Then they saw him coming up the path infront of the hord of the dead. Remis lumbered forward with his borrowed flesh even as it pated from the bones that once suported it in life. His wide grin made all the wider by the absence of lips spoke of his madness. And he chuckled quietly as he walked, happy that his plan was finally coming to a head. As he aproached Stormfollower he raised a hand in mocking salute.
"Hail Stormfollower Wolfheart. all exhalted leader of Wolf Cult!"
"Welcome back Remis, we have missed you."
Remis stumbles closer to the group and chuckles. "Greatings mother, it is good to see you, you look stunning as always. I would kiss you, but as you can see I lack the lips" He cackles madly for a moment then wipes a clod of yellow-green puss from his eye.

Zotreth lowers his sword toward the ground as he watches Remis approach Stormfollower. The Knight turns to have a better view of the two, then lets loose a high pitched whistle to call off his skeleton minion.

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Jetamio kept her expression neutral as what remained of her youngest son addressed her. Part of her was disgusted with his current state, but mostly she yearned to set him right. The power was within her to heal his body, to restore him to his youthful vigour, but his mind was beyond her ability or control. She simply nodded acknowledgement to the walking dead form of her son.
Radha however, could hardly take her eyes from him. She had not seen him since he left her in the Inn in Qeynos after she had nursed him back from the brink of death.

Re: A Quest for Humanity
"Start your evil buisness Remis. I understand why you are here." Stormfollower folds his arms and takes a stance of readiness.
"Oh you do do you?" Remis begins to walk slowly towards his father and places a rotting finger in the center of his chest
"Then you know I am here to reveal the truth about you.Of how you have brought ruin to your tribe and shame apon our ancestors."
From within the folds of his cloak Stormfollower reveals a black raven feather and extends it towards Remis. "This is the symbol of your right to speak. Go ahead and say what you will."
Remis launches a backhand at the feather swiping it out of Stormfollowers hand and onto the ground. He spits on it and scowls up at the towering shaman.
"This is one of the problems father. We have outgrown your need for such symbols. And I do not need your authority to speak to my people" He steps passed Stormfollwer and adresses the crowd.
"People of Wolf Cult! You have been deceived by a cunning demon." he gestures back towards his father.
"He has led you out of obscurity indeed, but into your demise...
And with the help of those closest to him he has stolen many souls from you... and now here you are...half a tribe with many who still live, wounded or fled, never to return. He has brought the change of many of our ancient customs all in the name of progress and unity with the south. But at what cost I ask you? Is any of us the better? DO WE STILL ENJOY THE FREEDOMS WE ONCE HELD DEAR! Are our enemies now less?...
I have heard tales of the time when Wolf Cult flourished in the north, isolate in its indesecrate whiteness, apart from the men of the south, and whole... and THRIVING!" He pounds one thumbless hand into his palm leaving peices of it to fall to the ground.
" It is to my shame that my father chose to seek out those from his fathers city ... and to unite withthem in thier perversion of law and order. Then did he bring this ruin apon us all,... with the coming of the Witch, my mother and the allowance of ecceptions to our ancestral Law...
LOOK APON ME! This he has done to his own son! But I am not without promice. I have not forgoten the way we once wer and how we might be again! I am chargerd by these spirits of your forefathers with a holy task and the gods have seen fit to provide my righteouse revenge apon this heretic" He points directly at Stormfollower and howls.
" I am your hope people of the north.! I am your holy redeemer. I am the true Starwolf! BEHOLD THE POWER OF TRUTH!"
He flings his hands up into the sky as a dark mist begins to form from the ground beneath him.

Re: A Quest for Humanity
White ears perk as Stormfollower calls out to his son. Though she was unsure this was how it had to be, she was still confused why a parent and child should be so angry they would want to kill each other. She didn’t understand, her father had taught her most ways of the Northerners, but not all.
Mujbura looks up at the family and whispers prayers to The Mothers Mother for protection. As Norraths blessings are gifted upon the family Mujbura nods towards Gilliadson and his family providing the same blessings. She was surrounded by families, none of her own bloodline, but bonded none the less. Breaths of clues to why she was with the Northerners came slowly throughout her life. Today, another clue forms in front of her as Remis appears before the group.
The sheer white wolf glares with burning amber eyes while a low growl travels up her throat emanating through raised top canine lips baring her teeth. Four pure white paws stomp once into the ground in a protective stance between Remis and Stormfollower. She would protect him under any circumstances, as was her duty, and her privilege.

Her skeletal thrall holds her upright as Cerissa’s body sways as each wave of raw emotion feeds her desires. Closing her eyes she can feel, see, devour the emotion similarly to piranha feeding on flesh. Soft moans of elation exhume from her with each breath of intoxication. Rixcis watches through the porthole then to the doorway he stands ready to protect that from whom he is paid.
Her body continues swaying while the feeding continues, the undead in all their cries providing supplement with the feeding. The dark mist surrounds her hand which remains firmly over the heart of Remis’ corpse. Feeding, the ever hungry beast growls at the generous portions eating with greedy hunger. It builds within her, stronger, darker, demanding and consuming until it is released.
A loud sigh slips past her lips as she leans forward towards the corpse now nearly completely consumed by the dark blue mist. The dead heart jumps obediently. Her face near his, cool skin to cool skin, she whispers, “Now, my darling…. Live.” Her skin pales as the lavish nourishment is past from her to the corpse the heart jumping to a regular rythym. A lovers corpse fades into a dark blue mist to appear beside it’s original owner.
The young girl collapses into the arms of her skeletal thrall who lays her gently upon the sarcophagus where the corpse of Remis had originally lain. Cerissa’s body lay slowly writhing in a combination of euphoria and near-death at having fed so fully then releasing with such amplification. Shadows and demons woven into the fabric of her robes cover over all of her as protection of their warden.

Re: A Quest for Humanity
Jetamio cringed at the word 'Witch'. She didn't understand why she was blamed, partially or directly, for anything that happened to the tribe. She had had little to no interference with their ways, only occasionally taking an active role when asked to. She was a child of the forest, and had chosen long ago not to meddle with Stormfollower's people. Her 'crime' was marrying their leader, and perhaps bearing such a child as Remis.
She gave Remis a cold look, not enjoying this game at all.
