Yeah...

Post by Jetamio »

So I killed Jet last night. She is now an unrelated dark elf male (shock!) shadowknight. Well, he is her great grandson, but I mean he is not her in essence at all. His name is Yakshaa if you happen to see him and wanna hiss at him or whatever.
Beware the rogue Kalsari, after Jet's death RP'wise, she will seem to recognise some of you, but she won't understand why at first. The closer Jet was to your character, the more chance Kalsari will recognise you and confuse her. As to why that is, you'll have to find out yourselves :)

Tortha RP'wise, should go with his father naturally, but he might come back one day looking for stuff about his mother. He might stay, he might not, I'm making no promises because in RP nothing is ever set in stone.

I'm on this server purely for the RP, and I will follow wherever my characters RP takes me. This is where my path takes me at this moment.
Jet's becoming good again was a complete fluke, someone took a hold of the RP and took it waaaaay outwith the boundaries acceptable for Infernal Dynasty. Alot of it was done while I was offline, so I simply went along with it when I logged on and suddenly found I was a vampire curing 'Drakkin of Destiny'. But for that incident, I'd likely still be there lol. So I rerolled her to a druid again, because thats the path the RP took, even though I knew absolutly no one except Licinia outside of ID and had to start all over. I tell you this to try show how important the RP is to me. Jetamio was a level 70, decent geared rogue with some AA's when I rerolled her.

I will always RP with any of you should I see you, don't hesitate :) And remember, Tortha is still around, and good, he's not evil. I will reregister with him probably, to save confusion, though I'll loose my head spammer post count again :(

Although Jet is rerolled in game, in RP she's been kidnapped by Tajer and her cronies and is in the dungeon of Dalharens Manor. Tajer will break the binding on their souls, and then Mogadeche wants to behead her so /shrug lol. Gruesome man. Naturally Tajer isn't going to show face in the Alliance again.
But Tortha will be in it, and maybe when he's older he will seek vengeance, who knows?

Hmm, just thought, maybe Licinia can change my name on these forums to Tortha?

I'll look into seeing if we can change your name here. Can I assume I have your permission to go ahead if I can?

From an RP perspective - this is too much like Jazzle dying in the Kultar dungeon, under Mogadeche's "care". Including Stormfollower into the equation, and I can't see the Alliance not mounting a serious rescue with major firepower... and these days I think the Alliance has some major firepower it could call in. Enough to level (and not in a "ding" way :) Dalharen to the ground. It's your RP, of course, but that would definitely be a factor in the whole concept of the Alliance.

Well Moga wont let Tajer keep her anywhere else lol. And it's not a long lingering thing like Jazzles was, Tajer will merely do her thing and let Moga have his way so long as it's quick. She's already rerolled, so theres no chance of saving her, but the Alliance could attack in revenge or something, I dunno.

And yes you have my permission to change name :)

Oh, and we seem to have lost one of the pain culprits to Eve online, so she might not make it so far as the dungeon. Watch this space.

*Cough* Storm, Ankari is a Fier'Dal (wood elf) not Tier'Dal. Only the firstborn son (Jetam) was Dark elf. I will do a pic of her soon.

Well Teir`Dal, Fier`Dal and Koada`Dal are actually the formal names for the races given by the creators of EQ...

Yeah I know Gilliadson..((Note the :P )), But I haven’t been playing EQ since the begining of time and so don’t have all these things straight yet..
Don’t hate me because I don’t know the lore, its hard to learn when everyone expects you to know it.
I guess what I am trying to say is I made a mistake because I am ignorant, and I apologise for my ignorance.
Part of the reason I play Stormfollower as a shaman of a lost tribe far to the north is because I don’t know all the names and terminology and zones and instances and spells and items and quests and windows and paths and hp and ac`s and every other little piece of minutiae that all the old players know and so it fits in with his character.
I am actually glad to be learning all these things first hand. It way more fun then to be dredging up old memories of when I was a 68th sk on the Stromm server way back when so an so`s whatchamacallit was not nerfed by a Aoe rollback. or whatever I swear half the time I think people are talking another language
`But its hard to have fun at it when you get picked apart for your ignorance of EQ speak and when you treated as second rate because you don’t know
So instead of saying That that’s their formal names given by the creators of EQ, Maybe you could sympathise with me and have a look on the start up screen where you choose a race and see what it says there. my only point of reference if I were new to the game.
Remember This is my first and ONLY character (Well second if you include that I was a wizard up to 50 then re-rolled as a shaman) that’s it. I don’t have the same frame of reference that you epic players have, I know what I have seen or heard ...that’s all, maybe there should be a booklet for new players so they know what the hell everyone’s talking about what with all the gods and the kings and the NPC#s it drives me crazy (can you tell) And what’s worse is the abbreviations. I even heard of a guy getting booted from his guild because he didn’t know what TSing was, I mean c’mon, that elitism at work, Who cares about the lingo, It exists only as a tool to sort the veteran players from the newbie’s. I mean its great for depth of story and all and in this case I was totally wrong in saying Dark elf for Fier Dal. But lets not go getting all huffy about it. Like in my first guild I was actually brow beaten so much over my stupid questions that I stopped asking. Don’t assume that everything is so obvious and well laid out , its actually a pretty confusing mess for an outsider. You’ve learned these things through an exposure to them that would take me decades to equal

Nobody hates you storm... You are loved by all except for the darkies :)

And I wasn't picking you apart... Remember I've only been playing for about 3 years almost 4... I've just picked all of what I know up on my own... though I have no idea what TSing is unless it's Tradeskilling... (That would be my guess) My post was not meant to offend you and I'm sorry if it did... In a roleplaying sense.. A high elf would not refer to his race or any of the other elves as High Elf, Wood Elf or Dark Elf... and the same for the other Elf races... Those are terms that a non-elf would use to refer to them... And again this is not meant to offend but just some thoughts...

No offence taken, BUT...
No one is an elf, We are all humans (I assume)..we speak english, (for the most part)

I have not studied the elven language nor do I use elven translator pages to make my posts.

If a high elf were to say "Hi I am a Koada Dal" Thats one thing
But if The wording is The Koada Dal said "Hi " Who is calling who a Koada Dal? Eh? Huh? How bout that smart guy? :P

The High elf said "We call ourselves the Koada Dal" \\
The Wood elf said "Hi I am a Fier Dal"
The Dark elf said "Who gives a rats ass."
