A New Direction

Post by Jetamio »

Clothes and other various belongings lay scattered around her as she sat rummaging through a chest. Most of her things were at the Guild House in Karana, but some of her more private things were here, kept in a locked chest. Nothing of great value, just a few memoirs of a darker time. Her Grandmasters Asssassin's Seal which she had spent pain staking hours making, while mastering her craft. Her emerald colouring was more than just to mark her attunement to nature.... it was also warning of the poison that run through her veins. Beautiful and deadly were Venesh's words about his Children. Like Nature itself. She put the Seal down with the Poison Vials she had promised Cuttwin. She no longer needed crafted poisons.
She rummaged again, her hand landing on something cold and metallic. She pulled it out, revealing a short sword she had weilded as a rogue before she had completly mastered her daggers. She almost dropped it again, she was not supposed to touch them. It was not a scimitar. But still her hand held it and she gazed at the blade for a long moment, remembering the feel of it in her hand, it's perfect balance. Without really thinking she stood up, and swung the blade in an arc, listening to the faint ring as steel cut through air. She froze. What did she think she was doing? She lowered the blade reluctantly. It had felt so natural. Why spend so long training in the art only never to be able to use it again? Why could she not combine both her arts into one?
The thought came to her as through struck by lightning - who said she couldn't? Was not the path of a Ranger a mastery of both blade and natural magic? Her mind spinning at the possibilties she fished out the sheath from the chest and belted it around her already expanding waist. Then she left her room and went off to find the answers she needed.
